  1. Thx Guys, Peter I think they may not be fibreglass as they feel too heavy, I dont know the materials used in oars, but I thought it might be a carbon fibre or something like that. I will call my friend who got them and ask, if so thx for the generous offer.
  2. Bump can still use some repair advice.
  3. Ford f 150 Lariat, pay thru the nose for gas but go anywhere, store anything, and in comfort for the old achy bones
  4. I have a set of 91/2 sleeved counter bal oars, and in a couple of spots the outer cover of the shaft is curling up and can be sharp. Any suggestions how to repair this. I thought a wrap of sorts and maybe a coat of varnish or varathane? Any input is appreciated. Thx
  5. Wishing all FFC members and family a Happy Easter, and Passover
  6. Good Work, Keep it up all. It is in my phone, too bad you have to take a phone now for poachers, but handy in case of emergency as well.
  7. Thinking of hopping in the truck for a drive. Does anyone know if the gate at Mac, and Carseland are open?
  8. I always look forward to the great info on this site, and told several avid fishers about it. Most of all from a few experiences, there are a great group of poeople in the membership, and the knowledge usually runs freely.
  9. Had me going for about 5 seconds, and OH YES, I had a donacker enlargment, I call him Goliath.
  10. Quite enjoyed it, nice work, only to be better.
  11. Howdy All, Is anyone coming from or going to Kimberly or Marysville in the next while, as I have a set of 10 foot oars, w removable blades, and some flies to come back. I would meet you for pick up in calgary, and contribute some towards gas. You may need a truck or car that seats fold down into trunk to fit. Likely need a truck. Thx
  12. A friend and i were on the lower Bow, when he got a great brown on. It hit the air and wrapped around my line before i could get it out of the water. We got the lines in ccloser to the boat, and it was getting more tangled, so in my rush to clear the line, I went to cut mine at the fly, and cut his in error. Boy was he pissed, even more when i laughed my ass off.
  13. Thanks, I look forward to seeing it
  14. Bah Ha Ha Ha, Good One, and looks way too good.
  15. Very similar to LynnF's apple pie, we would do the same with wild saskatoons, and add a bit of graham wafer crumbs. Bevvies or not, it was great after a day on the water. New idea for a restaurant chain, Camping Meals
  16. Pretty fast on mine. Do you use a Malware or cookie cleaner?
  17. Nice to see a new season, but time for new locations for all the shows. Even NFF, although some sweet hogs on the skeena. A bud of mine fished the Kenai sp? in Alaska and saw a swede loose 5 sets of line. Ouch!
  18. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!! FFC Rules Pretty Special People
  19. Heavy spiced back ribs in foil on a raised grill turning frequently
  20. It does not surprise me, the number of people stepping up to help, and I Thank You all. Please give me a couple of days to get back to you,as after work I try to get to the Lougheed for a visit, and I have been a bit swamped schedule wise.I will add, that there is a chance he wont get home, but I won't accept that until that time, so if that be the case, I promise to return the items or donate them. Thanks Again God Bless Friends, Good Hearted People & Fly Fishers
  21. My Buddy is very ill in hospital and has been for some time. As a result he has not been physically able to clean his bachelor apt for a long time, even prior to being in hospital. On the chance that he can come home from hospital,we are cleaning his apt and dumping his old dirty furniture. It was also too big for his small apt, but it was all he had. Needed are a couch, and maybe a chair,(not too big) bach apt, a coffee table, desk chair on rollers, but one that can support a large man, and maybe a lamp or two. If anyone has a small area rug? I am asking for it to be donated, as he now is without work,( limited income) and will hopefully be put on AISH. If need be I would pay a bit, but just started work again and can't afford to pay much. I and he would be grateful, & I have a truck to pick it up. Thanks
  22. And if I may add to the question, if you do, do you tie to the hook shaft, or the loop, and why?
  23. I went to the matinee this year, and quite enjoyed it, espescially the feature film of the 2 young men hiking in New Zealand for Brown trout. What was your opinions of the matinee and evening shows?
