  1. Alberta boat inspection news for invasives: http://raymondirrigationdistrict.ca/?p=598
  2. Found out that boats need to be inspected for Zebra mussels before hitting the water in Montana on the weekend. Inspections have to be done every 7 days. Limited number of road side inspection stations available. Project just getting started and probably will evolve over time. Worth looking into if you are planning a trip south so you can plan travel routes to hit inspection site. Any of you guys been through an inspection down there? Signs said there would be stiff fines if you don't have the inspection paperwork.
  3. Caught a nice 8lb pike there last year. It loves stockers
  4. Happy BDay Mr. S. I imagine you are getting even more distinguished as the years pass. May you catch the fish of a lifetime this year!
  5. Get one of those kid carrying backpacks and start some adventures together
  6. Rainbows are eating little carp at Blood Indian already....Tigers will love them. Now how long will it take for them to get bonked? Lots of people driving from Calgary already to fill the stomach daily AND bring home their daily family limit.
  7. There is quite a few in the hatchery at Cold lake. The hatchery here is having a hard time raising them past 3". It will be interesting to see if it really happens
  8. Your flashlights to do not have all wavelengths of light to harden everything up....put the sun does. The resins you use have specific wavelength requirements...so you need to have the right flashlight. I believe these resins come from the dental industry. Just ask your dentist if he wants to donate his light next time
  9. Jared, your message box is full. Obviously you are WAY to popular. I don't want to look at any more pictures without my line in there somewhere:)
  10. That's it I'm going too!!!
  11. Man I grew up fishing on that island. Things sure have changed
  12. Luv how Cutties fight...oh you got me .....drag me in and get this thing out of me so I can go eat again. Nice looking water for a walk
  13. Great fish Jared. Makes the drive worth it. The canyon section is a cool place. I remember the wading being a bit tricky through there. Locals like using girdle bugs for stones there.
  14. Good show. Fish therapy is an effective tool
  15. Most of the adult rainbows might be out of the river to go spawn by then, put there should be some browns and 16"ers to play with
  16. Sorry for the loss all you folks who knew Mr. Mitchell. Family, friends and the fish will miss his presence
  17. Have an excellent day Sir!
  18. So many great stories and tributes to a guy who lived life with some zeal and passion. It was a pleasure to share some adventures through pictures and stories with Jeff. It is great to hear about all the positive things he was involved with and leaves as a legacy. Hopefully his family gets to see these stories when they are ready, to help them celebrate the positive contributions Jeff made to this world. My prayers are with his circle of community.
  19. Happy Bday Terry. Man there is getting to be a lot of gezzers around here! Hope the ice is off early in your neighborhood
  20. You may want some caddis flies and small mayfly dries in your box as well

    A Few More

Wonderful! Love the first one...simple elegance
  22. 4wt with some backbone for the big dries and fighting some wind is a good tool
  23. But if I have to walk more than 93 yards from my car I'm just not going to go fishing after October 1. And besides, sometimes it's below 10C, and that just isn't pleasurable either. Hopefully there are lots of guys like me.
  24. While it is true there are a variety of factors pressing on the brown trout population, the idea of decreasing any stress due to angling pressure at a highly stressful time point can only be a good thing. It is a short time window and hopefully a relatively short distance closure. As the river flushes and hopefully the bugs recover, perhaps we will see more browns and whitefish. Whitefish numbers are down and they provide a huge food resource with their young to the trout. Poor water flow management from the fish's point of view is certainly an issue.
