  1. Luv how Cutties fight...oh you got me .....drag me in and get this thing out of me so I can go eat again. Nice looking water for a walk
  2. Great fish Jared. Makes the drive worth it. The canyon section is a cool place. I remember the wading being a bit tricky through there. Locals like using girdle bugs for stones there.
  3. Good show. Fish therapy is an effective tool
  4. Most of the adult rainbows might be out of the river to go spawn by then, put there should be some browns and 16"ers to play with
  5. Sorry for the loss all you folks who knew Mr. Mitchell. Family, friends and the fish will miss his presence
  6. Have an excellent day Sir!
  7. So many great stories and tributes to a guy who lived life with some zeal and passion. It was a pleasure to share some adventures through pictures and stories with Jeff. It is great to hear about all the positive things he was involved with and leaves as a legacy. Hopefully his family gets to see these stories when they are ready, to help them celebrate the positive contributions Jeff made to this world. My prayers are with his circle of community.
  8. Happy Bday Terry. Man there is getting to be a lot of gezzers around here! Hope the ice is off early in your neighborhood
  9. You may want some caddis flies and small mayfly dries in your box as well

    A Few More

Wonderful! Love the first one...simple elegance
  11. 4wt with some backbone for the big dries and fighting some wind is a good tool
  12. But if I have to walk more than 93 yards from my car I'm just not going to go fishing after October 1. And besides, sometimes it's below 10C, and that just isn't pleasurable either. Hopefully there are lots of guys like me.
  13. While it is true there are a variety of factors pressing on the brown trout population, the idea of decreasing any stress due to angling pressure at a highly stressful time point can only be a good thing. It is a short time window and hopefully a relatively short distance closure. As the river flushes and hopefully the bugs recover, perhaps we will see more browns and whitefish. Whitefish numbers are down and they provide a huge food resource with their young to the trout. Poor water flow management from the fish's point of view is certainly an issue.
  14. Thick fish for sure, but probably eggs coming
  15. Chunky bow spotted eating midge. Fooled her
  16. One for the wife (not Cuba, but spinning rods work):
  17. No worries, all in good fun. This event was well supervised and planned over a good wading area. Not scary at all....don't be afraid. Oh wait....don't try this at home, trained professionals only on a cleared track
  18. Got to witness a surfing contest today. The winner went close to 400 yd. No bites while trolling though.
  19. Thanks Brent. The bridge is a good marker and the number of redds downstream will probably not be that large. This is a good plan if implemented well
  20. Love to see the "science" justifying a closure in the lower reaches. Great idea to protect redds....but is there ANY below the Highwood? How many from Policeman's to the Highwood?. October afternoons can be good for feeding BWOs to sipping rainbows. Management should be backed by some facts.
  21. How many brown redds are below Policeman's? Seems to me that a closure from Bearspaw to Policeman's would be sufficient to protect spawners. Anyone have access to fall redd counts?
  22. I'm sure there is some jigs that she could throw that would have a "shrimpy" appearance. http://www.sportfishingmag.com/species/fish-species/catch-bonefish-lures
  23. I like my big dive fins 2-3x more than force fins, but you don't wear them over boots. Dive fins will create way more propulsion (good for travelling or fighting wind). I just throw my footwear behind the seat of my Fishcat 4
  24. How long is your fly bigdirty?
  25. Saw a guy slide his jet out and across the ice a couple of weeks ago. Pulled a rope out and winched it the rest of way onto the trailer.
