  12. He just likes to get to the top of the run to make sure there are no grizzlies that may scare you. It's really all just about protecting his buddies.
  13. Mark up for meds and anesthetic is huge. Some fine gouging goes on. Got to pay off those student loans some how. Lots of pressure to sell stuff to customers as well.

  15. Thanks Don. Lots of the buggers in SE BC
  16. Kids often fell asleep while hiking too
  17. I found it depends on the child and the day. Be willing to make stops as requested. Be careful with too much sun, or cold (one time lost a boot on a grouse hunting adventure). My son used to use my ear as a switch to engage "sticky feet" for wading in the Livingstone. Spending time with your son is the goal, not necessarily the hike destination

  19. That fly box could never sink
  20. Awesome day with the boy. Fooling fish is fun!
  21. Having caught whistling trout before under the indicator, I thought I would try for a different species today at the surface
  22. They used to rotenone the east end each spring to knock the suckers down. That no longer happens. Overstocking, suckers and perhaps some other issues have collapsed the shrimp population. No scuds over size 18 and many are size 30 in the fish. Hard for the fish to grow when there is very little food around. We caught 10 suckers this weekend
  23. Glory days are gone. Lots of 16-17.5" fish now. Haven't seen one over 20" in years
