I believe this happens with a number of salmonids just prior to spawning. The hormones are raging, gonads are nearly full and behaviors start to change. I remembering fishing with a BC steelhead guy on the Bow one spring and he told me that when the fish start breaking the surface it was time to fish egg patterns. I would imagine there might be a few Bulls starting to make a some "test redds" already, but the peak is still about 3 wks away. One famous Bull stream has a closure in upper reaches starting Sept 1. That should tell you something

Those darn fish-transporting birds are at it again. Bringing bass hundreds of kilometers to a lake right where there are cottages. Its truly amazing

Really....I shouldn't respond aggressively to an aggressive dog? I own a big, powerful, well trained dog. If she was to act aggressively to someone I would pound her face in the dirt. If I have an encounter with an aggressive dog I think both of us are going to get very hurt. I am sick and tired of aggressive dogs that are out of their owner's control. I fish to relax, not to feel threatened. If you don't have control of your dog, and it has aggressive tendencies, please keep it on a leash.

They have been nesting at Frank Lake east of High River for a while now. Have also seen some south east of Vulcan

Folks at the Children's hospital are top notch. When my daughter had some intra-cranial bleeding from a car accident the care she received was excellent. Hope they can quickly figure out where the blood came from. Praying for wisdom for the medical staff and good health for your boy
