    Caddis Pig

Sorry troutlover I don't understand the "x tippet" thing....6lb Maxima might work though (must be about 1x so I am fancier than 0x at the river...0x is for stillwater

Shhh danhunt. Real fisherman are sponsored by Sage or Loop or some other company. I'm sponsored by Aldrich

    Caddis Pig

Sage....camera ON hanging from my mouth...no net...drop rod, slide fish in by the leader....picture, hook out, and gone. Don't even have to touch them. Can't seem to find one with a blue spot on the operculum. That is the quest

    Caddis Pig

How many caddis does it take to get this fat
  6. I hear the fish are happily eating dries
  7. I've just used about 3ft of 6lb Maxima at the end of my 9ft leader for years in lower light. During the day I might go up to a 12ft leader. A good drift is more important than leader size I believe
  8. Looks like a great trip Clive. Thanks for sharing the memories. Looks like weather was pretty good too. Was the ice off really early this year?
  9. No, no they are saving the river.... What does an all knowing guide cost to watch you throw a streamer at a Bull trout anyway?
  10. Very surprised they didn't stock in April like many other spots. Maybe worried about fish all going to freezers before June. It is a dry, warm year. There will be more stressed fish
  11. You old guys are so wise
  12. It's OK Taco...just sightfishing to stupid lake fish eating dries... MR San Juan...my personal bait is off limits
  13. fish will swim right into your lap
  14. Fungus infections often show up as a secondary infection after some stressor, tissue damage and/or bacterial infection. Once the fish's resistance is down/compromised, the fungus can get a foothold. You often see fungus post-spawn, but as the fish regain their health their immune system rises to the occasion to win the battle....sometimes not
  15. 2 hander isn't an essential if you are tight on funds. A single hand 8wt works fine. 2 hander just makes the casting more fun and you get to learn something new
  16. Sharing the passion with new folks, especially family is awesome. Great day Murray
  17. Thanks for the slide show Rick. Sounds sweet. Not quite Bow river whitefish good, but probably enjoyable
  18. Great pics man. Avocets are well dressed
  19. Buddy got a great pic
