  1. Old farts, old fashioned rods and old trout....Perfect!
  2. Dee Chatani from Trout Chasers and Iron Bow has been around since the '80s. Lots of skill and experience to offer.
  3. Some good news for the fish being squeezed upstream. Long term adaptation appears to win out in the tough stretches
  4. Good job Lornce. Always a good thing to leave folks with a smile on their face. Thanks for giving back
  5. Went to Borger's nymph talk and Rowley's mayfly seminar. Both guys are good communicators and have a wealth of knowledge and experience to share. There is always something to learn if you keep your ears open. I also had a great chat with Tom Larimer. Awesome guy with lots of info to share. I shared some stories and info with some experienced guides and it is always helpful to get some different perspectives. If you go expecting to learn something, you will probably find it. If you are already completely awesome, you should stay home and keep looking in the mirror.
  6. I was thinking that wrestling a tuna would be good fun. The bait smashing fish on the east coast was intense. Throwing flies to big Blue fish would be very exciting
  7. Some fine looking browns. Looks like you had a great year. Thanks for sharing your adventures
  8. I think I could get lost there for a month or two
  9. Go to Wholesale sports and buy a Lansky sharpening system with stones and rods that hold a consistent angle for you. Pretty easy to use and does a great job
  10. There is only about 300 seats....must be full
  11. Sounds like "Eye candy" is getting old and crotchity I will look elsewhere for your big silver slabs
  12. South of Golden there may be a lake with fish in it
  13. Sorry to hear of your friend's passing Lornce. Good to hear he was generous with his experience and skills in serving others. Hopefully others can continue to pay it forward on his behalf
  14. Good show Lornce. I expect to see you in a tie on the water next spring!
  15. Anybody can float down the middle of the river without ever touching the oars and have a couple of dudes dangling bobbers and worms. Some guys actually row their clients to the good spots, hold the boat, stalk fish....teach their clients how to be better anglers. Might want to find those guys. Some good points Don.
  16. Thanks for sharing your pics. Cool to see the river monster and the teddy bear in the bushes
  17. Can't help with your ID...but your post reminds me that my first rod was one of those yellow Fenwicks. They were a little "slower" than today's broomstick rods.
  18. I fish quite a bit in strong winds. A couple of buddies have pontoon boats that have retired/sold them due the difficulties associated with the wind and now exclusively use their Fish Cat 4 V-tubes. I would imagine a raft would be even worse in the wind. So I guess it just depends on where you want to fish and how often/strong the wind blows on average.
  19. Thanks for sharing your great photos. So much to see when we wander near the water
  20. It's winter....we need some pics to get through the cold spell....who is next to share some photos? Lets see some of the awesome fish that everyone else enjoyed this year
  21. Buddy drove in last year. They didn't see any Bulls, but he said pools were full of whitefish
  22. Brent, I like how fat girls dance in the water. With this nice winter there could be some epic fishing next year. Hunt for double digit pigs will be on
  23. FIRST STEELHEAD more would follow
