I think drones could be appropriate downstream of the city, but within the city would not be worth the headache or liability.. way too many people, go through a provincial park, near highways, people... If there are a couple folks with drones out there that are willing to donate time, im sure BRC could line up something downstream of Police. I'd question them being more accurate, but just a different way of doing them, and less people-intensive. Considering the number of redds that were associated with overhead cover, undercuts, and in varying water clarity.

Pretty sure testing is ongoing throughout the drainage. A few whitefish from the TU Fish Rescue were taken for testing on Sunday. The word on the street is that the issue is that there are extremely limited laboratories that can do the testing, and the testing procedure takes ~a week.

I used too. For the most part the mass is just a pain in the ass when fishing for trout. Rather fish a simple string leech (e.g., Party boy) over a full MOAL any day. Can imitate mass a hell of a lot easier then it is to cast those damn socks

Suspect we're at 'peak flyshop'for Calgary and area, and having bass pro right there would also be quite hard to compete with. Convincing brands that you could handle the competition would be extremely challenging

I think a bigger thing is teaching people how to fight fish so that the fish's head is forced out of water, not there out of exhaustion. a 6 weight rod and 10 lb maxima will put pretty well any Bow river fish on it's back in under 2 minutes, even the current toads we have. Race ya!?

But really, they're using a public resource for minimal (to pretty well nil) cost... Should be forced to fence off the entire riverbank except in designated crossing locations. but that's just me...

Those aren't hand launches, despite what the link is showing as an image. It just means they're not going to have the same facility as the 'full launches'. You have to hit the 'hand launch' button on the map to see the hand launch area gear washing station at plumbed in launches is really smart
