I have had simliar problems with the guard at the main gate, one day I forgot my license with all my main stuff and he wasn't going to let me fish in the lake without it, until I got someone from the office to come out and say I didn't need one for a private lake. As for the rain and ice conditions I don't mind it too much as it is good to see someone looking for me as beeing in a rain storm with lightning those tin boats they have there might be a death trap, and I would hate to be the person that said yeah go ahead and go ice fishing and then have someone fall in and die.

Not really sure how you could fence that area off under the inn its a pretty big area and 50 yards out from under the inn is soild ice. I remeber one year takin my GT snowracer and going down the hill at like mac 1 and shooting out across the frozen beach and out on the lake.

Dune, I went by the lake office (Lake Bonavista) and asked them about this after I read you reply a couple of days ago and was told that if I wanted to go out onto the ice I could but they were not resposable for anyone falling into the lake, hence all the signs around that say DANGER THIN ICE. I remeber as a kid I use to always go out undernether the inn and one of us would always fall in, man where we ever stupid. As for the Xmas crowd I guess that is why they flood the basketball rink. I personally can't skate as I am warm blooded and maybe wore skates once or twice in my life.

I would have to say one of the best trips I had all year was beeing able to fish at palmer ranch with Gregg (Toolman) his brother Bob, Clive, and Al. Had many other fun adventures and was happy to meet some new people. I did have some very happy times (going out to victoria to see an extremly good friend get married) but was also hit with some bad times, Losing my grandfather on my brithday and having to go to a funeral for a good friend, but as max would say to me, WHEN LIFE GIVES YOU LEMONS..... PAINT THAT *hit GOLD.

Didn't get much for christmas but sure did work a crap load, I think I clocked in like 30+ hours in 3 days, however I did like many people here purchase a Olympus Stylus 850SW a week ago as a christmas present for myself as I do take a crap load of photo's for all my buddies, now its time to get some under water shots, yeeee haaaaaw.

Boxing day, arrrgh, I work in a retail store and I just absoultly hate boxing day (as I usally have to work on that day with a bunch of ignorant people coming in and saying, HOW COME YOU OUT OF STOCK ON THAT 300 Laptop, geeze I wonder why?)

Like Max said, I have been using DNA for about the last 6 months and I have found that the stuff work just aswome, use it for almost all my streamers, love using the purple and pink DNA fibers for my Rainbow style clouser and use bucktail for the top and bottom of the fly.

I've been ting princes and midges the last little bit, got 4 more packs of hooks for each fly to finish then it is time to start ting some of the stone flies that worked amazing for me this year, hoping they work again this year. But other then that I tied a few clousers and some bull trout streamers.

What I do is drop a little bit of head cement on one biot then place the second one one top and leave for a couple of secs on my ting table then tie in, if I know I am ting a bunch I will pre do a bunch first.

I own the Olympus Stylus 850SW, and with some minor settings adjustments I found there is no diffrence from the two, plus knowing PS CS3 as well as I do I can take any photo out there and make it look great. All of my best photo's I have taken, and I have taken alot of photo's was done with a Canon Powershot 520A 3.2 maga pixel and with some minor curves and light adjustments I was able to make some really good photo's. On a side note the one thing I really liked about my olympus was that with the macro mode I have a setting on it that I can use a LCD flash and not the normal flash, which I liked alot. I haven't taken many underwater photo's, just a few in the bath tub to really comment on the underwater photo aspect to it. The biggest thing that swayed me into getting my current camera was the price ($70 cheeper then the pentex) and the shock proof, as this is primary going to be used as a river camera and who knows maybe one day I will drop it and the shock proof will come in handy. As for the options, it doesn't really matter to me as long as it has a self timer. Anyways Once I take more photo's with it I will post for everyone to see.

I don't know much about politics myself but here is how I see things. 1) Did dion not say he would step down as leader of the bloc if he lost the election and now through backdoor dealing he might be our leader, how wonderful is that! A lier for a potintal leader. Maybe this will promt western canada to pull the bullshit Quebec tried and actually seprate (I would feel sorry for the marintime provinice as they are cut off from the rest of canada 2) To topple the current goverment just shows how these three parties really don't care about the people, because we voted for this. Also I would like to know what the Liberal goverment the last 20 years has ever done for western canada except bitch at us for our economy, Mulorney wasn't that great as a leader and Kim Cambell was even worst but they never pulled a move like what is happening right now. As it has been said before this is a kick to ALL canadains ass as this is not democracy, all this says is that if the three other parties don't like the turn out of a election then they can ban togather and say **** you to all canadains and take over the goverment, to me this sounds like a coue (sp)

I would recommened going to www.downloads.com and dl Adaware, I have used this for years and am extremly happy with it, also as mentioned before Spybot search and destroy is also good. I would recommened maybe getting two programs and run them both, I have found in the past one program might pick up one that the other doesn't.

I had a great time out today, it was great to meet some new guys and what a fine day to have a causal get togather on the river. I really enjoyed looking at Dick's switch rod, what a piece of work one of the most sexiest rods I have EVER seen in my life. and casting it with my 40+ line was a dream. To everyone that came out remeber, if your not enjoying yourself out on the river then you are not truly fishin.

Don't forget boys and girls, that @ 1pm we are having a gathering, I know I am bring out the following. 12 1/2 6wt TFO Pro, with my Loop CLW (with matching Belhula Scandi Line) 11 1/2 6/7wt Belhula with my Hatch 9 Plus (I will have my Airflo Scandi line on this) 12 1/2 7/8wt TFO Pro with my Plugher Prisedent reel (One spool will have a Airflo Scandi head on it and the other spool will have my compact skagit, I will also have my Lamson Velocity Hard Alox out as well with my Airflo Delta Mutil tip Mid Belly) and just cause I like casting it I will also be bring out my TFO TRICX 9' 6wt with my Hatch 5plus and a 40 plus line so people can compare the diffrence between casting a sinle hander and the comfort of a two hander, also the 40+ isn't a bad line for a switch rod if anyone is bring out one. Hoping to try out some diffrent rods, I know ther is a line or two of greg's that I will be trying out so can't wait.........

Gregg you should really try and sneak out tomorrow and try the wide diffenece in equipment and setups that will be out!
