best thing t do when you get flies online or in the store is buy a bottle of head cement and put a dab at the eye of the hook on the wraps where it is tied off. You will extend the life of your flies significantly. I havent had any issues with icky flies good flies for a good price. I still prefer homemade, but for the more diffficult small dries i buy online or at the shop and they all get a dab of cement.

ALL great steps in the right direction it's nice to see things moving forward instead of back. The one thing i will lend concern to is....... the fact that the government is actually good at listening to biologists and implementing programs HOWEVER when it comes to forking out the cash to fund the programs to implement them PROPERLY they are sucking it big time. They receive praise and wonderful press for the programs they implement and then nothing is said when the programs they have implemented fall apart because of insufficient funding. I don't expect any of this to work because there are no officers to enforce it and the money to run such a program properly will NEVER come . Create programs and laws and never support them that is the agenda of this government and it makes me sick.

Ya and the extra hooks that hit the fish in the side of the face help with landing more fish.

I have the G4Z i love them they are worth every penny i paid. I know there is cheaper ways to get waders by buying 2 pair for the same price of one but the SIMMS quality IMO is unmatched even the simple fact that they put the seams in the right place . The function of the G4Z are great i hardly ever carry a vest or pack any more on the bow i just throw what ill need for the day in the pockets and go. I find Simms are the best fitting wader out there. I've heard opinions that they are hot because of the 5 layer goretex but i just dont find them any hotter than other waders i have had in the past and the fact you can unzip them to air out helps a lot and lowers the need for a wading pant. I have heard opiions that there is no need to wade over your waste but for me i often wade over my waste to cross rivers and kneel in the water in areas over my waste cuz im crazy like that yo.If its in the budget IMO you cant go wrong and will be very happy with the G4Z.

I'm a big fan of simms I have the G4Zs i like having the pockets on the front i load them with what i think i will use that day and carry all my other stuff in a backpack also i like the fit of Simms more than other warders. I recomend trying on lots of types and go with what fits and functions best. The other thing about Simms that is nice is they put the seams in the right place.

i had a pentax and also used it in salt water with no issues. I didnt even rise it just wiped it with my towel. I am also looking for a new one i am leaning to the panasonic as it seemed to have the best reviews for low light and image quality but still havent decided. I know that low light has always been the problem for these types of cameras.

Good advice. Then don't bother taking me up on the float. I would get frustrated and you would get annoyed.

Thats the problem with todays Old people they cant let go of the way it used to be and figure out how to enjoy the way it is..... You add a lot of stuff into your response that ASSumes a lot about my intentions and attitude about the way i fish and the people i share the river with. You want to get personal go ahead but quit making up shiz i never said. I dont fish all the water i want i always stop when i float by and i always make sure im close enough to say Hi ....and wave. Cuz thats how i was raised . And you call me a river hog? in what way? I dont fish when im drifting by i take the time to say hi and share a report. You know what Mr. self righteous if you ever feel like learning about New School things send me a PM I would love to take you on a float and you can see what a MONSTER i am.

i forgot a camera so no pics from me yes we swam every night it was freakin hot. The creek was nice to cool off in....however it's cold enough that it feels like a kick in the balls. Thanks for the great posts guys it was a lot of fun.

I just dont understand this i have had numerous boats float through water i am fishing and it puts things down for 5 min MAX these fish see boats ALLLLLLL day long it is part of their habitat........I think the BIG foul is 1. when they dont stop fishing or 2.They pull over into water you are obviously working up to......but to just float by close or far not a problem! if you are complaining about that then you need to relax a bit and fish somewhere else because this is not the river of ten years ago and it will only get more traffic. I think people should learn to adapt a little because the fish certainly have.
