  2. I lather my hat pretty heavily with deep woods 8 hr spray and it seems to do the trick. Then I wear long sleeves and a buff. If they are really bad I wear fingerless stripping gloves sprayed.
  3. I have found that I used to have way to many but as I have gained experience I have the patterns I trust and if I cant catch with the flies I have then its not the fly that ive got wrong. I carry a fly for all stages of each bug and several sizes of each. Streamers I have 5 patterns I love and trust. So at any given time I have 5 boxes and carry around over 1000 flies that's the best I can narrow it down . I have probably 2000 flies in a bag in my basement collecting dust that I have lost their place in my box.
  4. hoppinator crane the deadliest fly on the planet! mmmwhahaha!
  5. Hey Rick donation completed I felt bad for getting a couple dozen flies for $50 so I put a little extra in. Best of luck on your ride the amount you have raised is a great accomplishment. Thanks for running an auction it was fun.

  14. Kevbine the guide I used in Florida was of the same mind when it came to drag he had it so tight I was worried that if I hooked up the fish was going to pull me out of the boat and they are chasing 140lb 6foot Tarpon there. I never did hook up but saw hundreds of Tarpon and a daisy chain the size of a foot ball field with hundreds of tarpon it was pretty amazing the fish just weren't in the mood.
  15. welllllll if you had seen the effort he put into getting out into the middle of the river to hit a run of about 15 rising fish (which you passed directly over) you would have given his fishing more room. Also according to the article you were the ass*ole.......according to the article.
  16. ok I have to admit when I saw your post I thought to myself ha another guy who doesn't know how to measure fish but DUDE! the picture proves it, that is one sick fish! well done. Really that is an amazing fish. I know the feeling it is the sweetest feeling ever. I caught the fish of a lifetime on the Red Deer River (the one in my profile pic) and I honestly think about it weekly its like a movie clip that plays over and over in my head. If you don't mind could you explain the streamer set up you were using and type of flies? Again, well done.
