  1. Oh goody more friggin choices... I have a pontoon. I've been thinkin' I'd rather have a hard boat of some sort so I've been doin' some snoopin' and come to the conclusion there too damn many options in things that float to fish outta.. Gawdamn stupid lakes.............................
  2. Far from definitive but the white spigot points to a Fisher rolled Winston blank. For the most part Fisher blanks sold under their own label had a brown spigot but I have heard of exceptions. Other than the local builder provenance as a longer than prime 7 wt I wouldn't think the rod is worth a lot, like not much over $100. Don't let the 7wt number fool you, that rod would throw a modern wf 6wt line a country mile.Would be a fun rod to tie into a 10lb trout with.
  3. One 24" fish can make up for some tough fishin'. Shakedown float on fatfish pond today, BH tomorrow
  4. Time to cleanup your PM inbox ! Summit or Bullshead??
  5. Static line source = MEC Static line's core fibres have no twist or braid so almost zero stretch and no rope spin while loaded. However it is a stiffer rope to work with than the braided ropes.
  6. The more I look at it, I don't think it has a missing ferrule spigot. Likely a Fenwick Feralite ferrule tip over butt.
  7. Looks like a Fisher blank. Could I see a pic of the male ferrule?
  8. Only better than the Hardy rattle is an Islander scream
  9. zero spring runoff spring of 2016. I don't believe they diverted any water into PC
  10. We got half the rainfall amount that Calgary received
  11. Learned about changing to a fresh uncontaminated washcloth on a more frequent basis did ya. And the best part is you'll get a reminder of the mishap every time you shower for the next 4-5 days or so. I took a instream fartknocker and unloaded an entire can in the right front pocket on my wetwading pants. Wasn't too bad as long as I was balls deep in a cold mountain stream but the 2 hr hike back to the truck was gawdamned uncomfortable.
  12. Preliminary Results: No New Detections of Invasive Mussels in Montana http://flatheadbeacon.com/2016/12/19/preliminary-results-no-new-detections-invasive-mussels-montana/
  13. Somewhat closer than the Mo, mussels have been confirmed in the Tiber Reservoir on the Marias River which flows within 40 miles or 70 km of the Border http://www.greatfallstribune.com/story/news/local/2016/11/09/invasive-mussel-larvae-discovered-popular-montana-waters/93561824/
  14. Too little too late, IMO whirling disease has been present in Alberta waters for at least 20 yrs. I reported a couple incidents of whirling crippled stream trout back in the late 90's and got met with much official doubt
  15. I know I saw them at Fly's Etc in High River a few yrs back. Knowing Udo somewhat he may had some squirreled away somewhere in that shitstorm of a store. Now that they have relocated to new more spread out digs maybe they can be found. Call 'em (403) 601-6120 They're on the book of face as well. Friendly people and I've found some damn good deals in that store.
  16. No wonder your truck blewup, I see a dually diesel runnin' 36s in your future.
  17. Na I just used Simms online suggested retail and the current exchange rate. $275 huh, think I better take better care of my G3s.
  18. Being Simms they will most likely be an excellent well designed boot but at $233 and change CND I'll keep using my G3s and 3mm neoprene booties... I'm dutch plus I'm trying to save coin to buy a Lund
  19. Considering he spent the last 2 provincial elections slagging the PC government and actively campaigning for WR I'd be more than a little suspicious of his motives. He gets in I'll never again consider voting PC and I damn sure will never vote WR which leaves me with some distasteful alternatives. I think I'll go fishin' on election day instead
  20. Or at least damned easy to move across the road and under the trees......
  21. 10 yrs hell, I know of one spot on the NW branch road that been summer occupied by the same bunch for 25 yrs or more. You may know it by british ensign and jolly roger flags they flew.
  22. Hell I drove for 2 hrs the other day to fish a lake known for it's quality of fish only to find I left my pontoon oars behind.
  23. I've got 4 machines upgraded and running Win10 for months now. The only issue has been on a my work tablet, Chrome continually froze, Uninstalled Chrome and downloaded FireFox and no issues since.
