  1. Wow, I'm so jealous of your fish pics! That little creek looks fun; cutties, brunis and brookies! -Steve
  2. Yup, fish tales is the way to go. I snapped my buddies Sage rod on Aug 13th and they called me back to say the new rod tip was in on Sept 18th! I'm not sure if it was $50 or $55 as I bought some flies etc as well. Oh and it was a disconrinued Sage FLi which is about 5 yrs old and they still carry the tip.
  3. Looks really nice! Iron bow??
  4. I've welded two new loops to it now, but most of the damage is 10ft into the line... Flyfisher has a point! I clean it with a luke warm water, and a light dish detergent. Just a quick dip and rinse. I sent SA an email and they said the wear does sound quick. They said send it back to them with a copy of the email and they'll take care of it for me! That I do quite a bit... Is there a simple technique change to fix this?
  5. Hey Pros, hah... I have a question regarding the the Mastery Series GPX 6w Floating fly line from SA. I purchased this line in the end of September of last year. Since then, I have fished on the Bow River about 15 times, and stillwater about 3 times. My GPX line has completely degraded and is very cracked and falling apart. I feel like I've taken care of my line, cleaned it, and it is still degrading.. Is this common for GPX lines? Or does this seem to be a quicker degradation than normal? Thanks for the feedback Steve
  6. Hit up Tungsten... made a nice little skiff http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/index.php?showtopic=17389&p=157482
  7. Yup, we're talking TINY guys
  8. I would like to know the guiding company. Running a business based on lies while using public resouces is so immoral. Like noslack said, a PM would be just fine, but I would support you if you chose to release the name publicly
  9. Beauty! I was a little too early this year for beach fishing in qualicum and parksville, but next year I'll be there at this time!!
  10. What a cool vid! That one grizz is looks massive!!
  11. Beauty pictures. Thanks for sharing!
  12. I was catching a ton of small bulls on the RDR last weekend. I assumed that they just were washed way down the system from the tribs. Just my guess though.
  13. Nice work on picking him up from the pound. He's going to be a great companion. I'll say hi if I see you guys on the river together!
  14. Saw your explanation on the this board. Awesome!
  15. Terrifyingly close to home. Condolences and best wishes to his family, friends, and fishing partners.
  16. Perfect, love the colouring on those cuts
  17. This was a sweet find, being that I'm a photographer and a fisherman, haha
  18. I tried it last time I was out and it was still quite potent.. I'd just rather keep a new one on me just in case. Further to the other replies, I have a free canister of expired bear spray if anyone wants to have some fun!
  19. Hey all, I have a can of expired bear spray. Just wondering how I should dispose of it?
  20. Love the trout sig there bob!
  21. Being a MB boy, I grew up using the same high test deet that lots of you guys use(d). I thought that I would revive this thread that i found through the search given that I was eaten alive last night, deet destroys your gear, and my pregnant wife doesn't want to use deet, I've heard a few people say that bounce sheets are effective mosquito repellent.. Has anyone ever tried bounce sheets?
