  3. I wonder if the porcupine got the point..?

  5. Rick, I'm just wondering whether or not you feel like you're a better person now that you've "condescended" and corrected people in a thread that was clearly intended to be humorous? Is your world going to be a better place now? What about you James? After posting this, do you feel better about yourself? From what I've read, I understand you're a guide. Most guides I know are very professional, but you seem to be an exception to the rule with your "bring it on" tagline and personal attacks. Do me a favor.. PM me your info so I can make sure to never put a cent in your pocket. Disclaimer: I don't know Maxwell really.. never been on the water with him.. but I have talked to him a few times. He speaks english perfectly fine.. typing it is a different story.
  6. Classic. I still have a score to settle with a couple unknown fish on the Bow. Now (starting my 4th year now) if I could only remember how I used to hook them so often in my 1st season fly fishing...
  7. I have a Danvise too.. only used it once. Send me a PM if you're interested and we can work out a deal.
  8. I got myself a Viking (canadian company) breathable waterproof jacket at Marks Work Wearhouse last year for $110 after tax. I love it. I also love that it cost me about 1/3 of what the brand name stuff would've cost me.
  9. Good question. There was a thread about this last season.. I'll see if I can find it. One of the board members was approached by a pretty cranky C.O. that insisted they needed to provide their WIN as well as their license. Quite a few people on here disagree, myself included. *edit* Here it is: http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/index.php?...;win+card\
  10. Very good point as well Brian. Since I've gotten a Blackberry with GPS.. I've been turning it on while on road trips just to see. Surprising to see the variance in the speedometer in some of the different vehicles I've driven!
  11. I'll be the first "jack@ss" to say it.. How about people just NOT speed? Don't know about you, but I have a wife and a 1.5 year old in my vehicle.. I love both very much..
  12. City section is starting to open up as well.. in recent days there's been quite a bit of water starting to flow on top of the ice.
  13. Was also nice to meet some board members! H20, Bhurt (finally), ggp, and alhuger to name a few..
  14. I'm such a nice guy I thought to myself.. "you know, I don't want anyone to have to suffer the embarrassment of finishing LAST place in the casting competition... I know what I'll do, I'LL enter it!"
  15. Blind fishing with dries.. most of the time when a trout rises to my fly and I'm not expecting it.. it scares me. Literally.. I jump like someone just popped out from behind a door in the dark or something. Miss the hookset half the time because of it! LOL
  16. Just couldn't 'let it go' eh? Beauty fish Islandguy..
  17. Joke #1 - heard it before in relation to golf.. love it. Joke #2 - My gawd..
  18. Highly doubt that.. But my daddy died when I was 15, so I guess we'll never know!
