  1. Don't forget the "treats" they leave!! P
  2. Try this, http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/word-hel...A010064992.aspx P
  3. Yeah and attaches an anchor to it, as well!! P
  4. Mike, Just save it as a PDF. It's super easy on a Mac, haven't done it for a while on a PC, from what I REMEMBER you might have to download a specific app, if it didn't come loaded the app to begin with. P
  5. Yeah, sorry I forgot... Actually it was filled with rocks! P
  6. Craig great if you are on crackbook, but what about us "old school cool" guys that are not?! I guess we are SOL, eh!! P
  7. Lornce, Make sure you keep track of the number of things they charge you for, i/e rolls of tape, boxes, etc. These are things they like to mis-count by A LOT and they pretty much pocket the cash!! P
  8. Just a general FYI. Mustang M.I.T. Inflatable PFDs are currently available at MEC for $150 - that's at least $50 less then anywhere else! Of course they offer the manual inflation only but it still a great price! P
  9. Hey Mike, Looks great! Though I had to chuckle seeing you in a PFD (not for city ordinance/DFO/DOT reasons, but for the "just in case" scenario!)! Why don't you have 3 different positions for the oar locks (like many drift boats do)... That way depending on your load (or arm length of the rower) you can adjust accordingly... Though you would have to be able to move the seat forward or back, I guess, as well... P
  10. Yup! I've had one epic, and everything else worse!! So you did very well! P
  11. Auto Experts talk to John, Doug or Mike (they are located behind Pacific Place Mall [Franklyn Mall] in the SE)... P
  12. Tracy, Depending on the size of the chips, I'd use a putty stick (2 part epoxy) that is sandable... MEC and other canoe type stores sells it for canoe repair (it will repair fiberglass, kevlar, plastic boats). Way easier then messing around with 2 part liquid epoxy... http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail....534374302700925 P
  13. Went fishing to the Upper Highwood yesterday... Holy smokes! There is so much snow up high (Highwood Pass elevation), it doesn't look like we'll be fishing/hiking/backpacking up in the high country for a VERY VERY long time!! Run off may have technically started, but it is no where close to being in full swing! Sigh... P
  14. So Deb and I (and our dive club) were participating in a clean up dive last Sunday at Crystal Shores Community Lake in Okotoks... Towards the end of the dive we came upon a hockey back that was attached to a river type anchor... I didn't want to look inside and it was too heavy for me to carry with the rest of the garbage we had collected... The RCMP were called and they intern called the local Fire Dept who showed up yesterday with masks and snorkles!! <--poke--< A buddy was going out tonight with the RCMP to try an locate and recover the bag... I hope it's nothing gruesome (both Deb and I had visions of the "Bay Harbor Butcher"/Dexter or drowned puppies/kittens)... Yikes! I haven't heard anything thus far... P
  15. Yeah Rick, some of those you speak of are the same ones that just chirp up with useless tripe and NEVER try to help anyone - post reports, support the local FF community (i.e. Stream watch, river clean-ups, etc.)...
  16. No problem Darrin, glad Ken was able to help you out... He did great work for me! P
  17. Rookie mistake Rick, Anytime you change a tube, run your finger along the inside of the tire, for the exact reason you mentioned... You will learn, grasshopper. P
  18. Saw a kayaker on there when we drove past on Sunday!! P
  19. I had a pair of Patagonia River Walker wading boots and they were great! The rubber toe cap started to crack after 2 years and I sent them back under warrantee (didn't really have to) and Patagonia covered them, but didn't have my size in stock (in Canada) so they paid me out... I can't comment on the latest version, but I suspect they are top of the line!! P
  20. Go where ever is the least expensive just b/c new windshields don't last long (reality of driving in Calgary, unfortunately). P
  21. Yeah I have witnessed one too many times at back country campsites (within a PP) where buddy is chopping down trees and deadfall for his fire (for all those that don't know you are not allowed to have fires in PPs outside of a campsite that has an official fire pit and there are not many campsites that still have fire pits)... Green wood doesn't burn all that great, dude! <--poke--< . Plus those fires scar up the land (hey Giovanne!!) P
  22. Ryan, I'd actually cycle all three routes... What's up hill with one, may not be with the other (even though it's more "zig zaggy"), go one way on one of the routes and maybe back on another!! Variety is the spice of life, apparently!! P
  23. Yeah I attended with my sister (we should be on TV if we make the cut [not sure which channel], me with a sign that reads "Enforce Protection" and my sister with a sign that read " I heart Grizzlies"). I was expecting a better turn out (with the younger generation, that is... As 95% of the 50 or so people that attended were above the age of 60 - nothing against people over the age of 60!)! That being said there was only one day notice (IMHO poor planning)... P
  24. *Disclaimer* I am posting this for information purposes only, not making a personal political statement! For those of you that are interested/available: Official Opposition Critic for Parks, Harry Chase MLA Calgary-Varsity, invites you to join him tomorrow to rally against the proposed logging in Castle Wilderness Area. Wednesday June 8, 2011 McDougall Centre, Calgary (455 – 6th Street SW) 12:00 PM – 1:00 PM Peter
  25. Ahhh Mike, You are such a great FFC member and nice guy, your students should be proud!! ! P
