I recently had a problem with an amundson reel as well. I sent an email to HPK (Pete "PK" Kauhausen), sales manager for amundson. The problem was dealt with swiftly and the reel was replaced no questions asked. I've been very happy with all my amundson products and this solidifies their reputation for me. I would highly recommend their products, especially for people new to the sport.

I'm an eager student myself. I'm amazed and overwhelmed by the depth of this sport. Obviously my simple question sparked a complex response. I'm not asking for your secret spots just some general guidance. Right now the larger rivers are unstable so I'd like to fish where I stand a chance. I'm headed to the North Raven, don't worry I won't tell anyone where it is.
