  1. I got pulled over one time up at Dickson Dam and was asked to see my gear, when he saw the fly gear he said, If i knew you were a flyfisherman i would'nt have pulled you over, you guys tend to be alot more honest.. I think this is probably the general feeling among most CO's ..
  2. 4 times in the last 5 years fishing in Alberta .. & I log alot of hours fishing.. no doubt the CO's are overloaded with work, there is alot of water to cover and people fishing every inch .. the labor situation here doesn't help.
  3. buddy obviously didn't take the razzing as playful as the rest of the guys or he would have stuck up for you/himself .. as for her .. no comment .. thats an unfortunate situation in which to be involved
  4. Water is alright in tay, for fish and things that swim in rivers
  5. rough, My dog likes calf tails..little easier on the wallet
  6. Yep .. there are alot less wholesome and expensive activities to be at with the family .. I would'nt mind it one bit to see the prices raised .. (I pay +/- 100 bucks for a "non-resident" salmon license to fish back in Newfoundland) .. as long as the money gets put to use within the system .. its a good investment for everyone
  7. Welcome Fishietales ..
  8. just add a section as you bury one, there are holes in the earth 10 km deep .. 10.8 feet of ice shouldn't be a challenge .. cool video
  9. if your only doing corners, and only need 45's, its only easy to make a simple box .. draw a 45 degree line on a piece of plywood and a piece of 2x4.. nail the 2x4 to the edge of the plywood lining up your lines .. cut the 2x4 on the line down to the plywood and you have a simple mitre ..
  10. stored in speed dial .. !!!
  11. a killer for sure, very nice
  12. That make no sense what so ever RnB .. so you'd rather pay 40 bucks to have your Sage shipped away for weeks rather than 25 bucks for on the spot replacement? and with Sage / Orvis you still only end up with one rod????? ...so if you walk into Sage in Washington looking for a replacement, theres no fee? TFO's are not the highest perfomance rods out there, but they are decent sticks with great in town warrenty..
  13. Looks pretty cool AC..
  14. that one could catch you more than you bargain for Glen
  15. Yeah but thats the warranty not the rod .. I love the TFO service but the quality just can't compare .. Sage all the way
  16. Hey thats pretty close to rig I use when its slow..It'll get ya fish every cast..trick is : they take it really slight so ya gotta strike often, and hard ..
  17. Great camera .. takes some great pictures as you can see .. the depth of water resistance is limited to 3m because the seals are no designed to hold against a designated pressure .. I'm sure you could take it much deeper than 3 m w/o problems though .. water pressure at that depth is not much .. 9.8 kPa/m or for the Americans 0.43 psi/ft and they don;t specify between fresh or salt water either so.. I'd say the failing point of the seals is well beyond 3m .. my.0.02 .. if your heading diving, just throw it in a zipper baggie ..
  18. I haven't played in years, but I'll giver a go ..
