  1. if your new with that 10 ft pontoon boat , my advice is stick to the bigger rivers till you have a handle on it , enjoy the rig and just float a bit till you get a good comfort zone happening , lots of time to fish after , i think if you went on any of them wee little streams it will just piss you off and really ruin your day , even think about going to a lake , lots of good ones around
  2. ha ha , made me laugh to funny Jay
  3. X 2 i like eating brookies , best eating of the trout in my opinion , nothing better then a hot cast iron frying pan with butter and just'a sizzle to it , add flour to them babies ,drop in say 8 to 12 inches of fresh brookies and watch them curl , they are tasty for sure , enjoy the best on fresh bread yep nothing like a dozen to go , i will be going after a few feeds this year for sure
  4. alberta is a very hard place to beat for fresh water fishing , fly fishing for trout is outstanding with the amount of rivers , then you have some great lakes for fresh water fishing like your after , lake trout and some good walleye lakes , and pike fishing up north is second to none , i'd say stay in a area that is close to your fav river , the rest you just can travel to if it's bigger fish like salmon and steelhead , plus some great trout fishing , go with BC , my pick would be also be Terrace area , if your retiring then in the winter you can get out and go south to miss that cold weather and snow ,
  5. what will they come up with next , more james bond stuff
  6. nice fish ,
  7. THOUGHTS i'v seen them on the bow , just not fly fishing , i don't like em myself , i had to do a rescue last year in my boat , seen a lady almost drown , she came off and it was pulling her down by a log , she had the dame thing strapped to her foot , crazy

  21. long weekend , keep your eyes open guys , this happen today on our river , don't take long for the CO's to come if they close , carry your cell phone , take a min to save the REP number so it's fast to call it in , you can make yourself a easy $100 if they catch em , plus take a picture if you can so the CO's can use it if they late getting to you , today the poacher or i should say the guy lost his rod, worms and fish , and it cost him $850 in fines , to bad it's wasn't $850 for each fish , fishing was good today , but this just toped it all off
