  1. Simms Freestone Boots have been a good boot for me. Bought them on sale & was a Korkers user up till then, but would go Simms again based the on the support & the way the boot has stood up so far.
  2. I believe Fish Tales is having their Spey o rama on Sunday. Good place to get some tips.
  3. I had the previous model the digital camo & liked it a lot, but was always looking for a little more room, so went to the new olive colored guide sling & it's been great so far, except for the net thing as Dave said, which can be an annoyance sometimes.
  4. Damn, I better put mine in the safety deposit box, especially with the autograph that is in it, which oddly has nothing to with the book. ,
  5. I have 2 Accels, 1 590 & 1 486. Two completly different animals, bought for the same type of fishing you are talking & unfortunately I bought the 5 first. I also have a 5wt, 7'9 rod that just isnt quite long enough in most situations so I would get the 4 wt, 8'6.
  6. Yes, been thru them, right at the boat launch, they inspected my boat & trailer, they handed out some brochures & a cleaning kit, scored an extra kit for later. I explained that I pressure wash my boat & trailer between rivers & between countries, which they liked, concerned about transporting anything, zebra mussels or whirling disease. Wasn't given any paperwork though, something new perhaps, & down there for usually only for 5-6 days at a time
  7. Medium fast action, 4 weight 8'6" would be a good choice, would be my choice.
  8. Got mine from Clackacraft during the Fly fishing Expo a couple of years ago. They are on their website.
  9. Iron Bow & Country Pleasures both have or did have them.
  10. No shoulder issues, but I would recommend a wide strap for the shoulder that spread the weight around & wont dig in. I have the Orvis Guide Sling Pack.
  11. I like a Slingpack.I also had the shoulders & neck from the vest & with 2 hand casting the sling is out of the way
  12. I met a fellow in Montana who built his out of PVC tubes, military ammo boxes, & ordinary roof racks. The tubes were bolted down on the roof rack on the roof & he attached the rear rack to rack like a ladder rack in the box of the pickup. The ammo boxes were then used on the reel end of the rods which he could lock with a padlock. I use to have a picture of because I was going to build the same setup, but I because I sliding window & a cap on my truck I went with a Rod Loft which would let me haul 6 strung up rods, but the most I have done is 4. Works nice because the truck is all blacked out & no one knows they are even there.
  13. Very Nice! Great Job!
  14. Go to General topics - fishing related, I posted the same kind of the same question & got an answer that worked pretty well. I myself also used the bright light inside of waders when turned inside out
  15. Thanks Peter, been there also! Trying the proper way this time. Bob
  16. Found a pretty good size leak in waders yesterday, so was wondering if anyone has any experience with repair kit you get with your waders & what kind of luck you had. Thanks
  17. Cervus Equipment, the John Deere dealer out by Crossiron mall has John Deere & Ariens snowblowers in the showroom. Wasnt paying attenion to the price but they have quite a few.
  18. Looks very familiar, that was a fun day.
  19. Very nice, cool shots, like to see more.
  20. I like the Rio Streamer tip type 3. When casting to the bank I can strip in right away or let it sink for a sec or so depending on the depth, easy to mend & it doesnt wear you out when repetitive casting from a boat.
