  1. Interesting read. I drive to Montana a couple of times a year & enjoy some great days.
  2. Looks like it will be great, looking forward to seeing it. Jim back on television is long overdue, his old show Iron Blue Flyfishing set the standard that still hasnt been equaled.
  3. Battery Pack, and when you do make sure you have the compatable back door, the early ones came with the door that fit the earlier cameras. The battery packs are the same but the doors arent. You can email GoPro & they will send you a new door at no charge, but takes a couple of weeks to get.
  4. I fish with both, it depends on the water conditions, & the fly.
  5. If you want try a soft mid section Sage, you should look at a 699. I have one you can borrow & give it a try. Bob
  6. MEC has some good high quality pulleys, got mine there, no tangles since.
  7. Your new Z-axis will be fine, now the fun begins. Enjoy.
  8. I use a 10'6" 3/4 weight Meiser Switch with custom made 342 gr.SGS line.
  9. Hope this link works, got it from another forum, very inspirational. http://espn.go.com/espn/feature/story/_/page/fly-rods/fly-rod-makers-tom-morgan-gerri-carlson-create-unity-universe
  10. Who's crazier the guys in the Kayaks or the carmera men?
  11. I also used to fish the Livingstone a lot & for the exact same reasons I havent for a couple of years.
  12. Too late now, but there was a pair at the TUC swap today
  13. Unfortunately Peter, I dont know what to do now except take it somewhere to get checked somehow. I'm lucky to have IT people that work for the same company that I do so that I can just hand it to them & say fix please.
  14. I had a similar thing happen to me. My laptop kept dropping sessions, when hardwired worked perfectly. Thought it was the wireless router, bought a new one, did lots of diagnostics, no one coulf find any reasons. Changed to Telus, still had issues but not as frequent.. So just sucked it up hardwired permanently. Then time for a new laptop which company sayswas due to policy & works fine now. So we think the internal WiFi antenna was the problem
  15. Same with me, not 3 hours, but from Airdrie close to an hour.
  16. They do some of this on the Missouri, with a Diablo SOT/SUP. Looks like it would be great for getting from place to place, & maybe casting from also in the calmer waters using the chair. Headhunters in Craig sells & may rent also. http://vimeo.com/41969262
  17. I use to buy mine from a Bulk Fuel Dealer, they just pumped into a Blue Kerosene Can similar to a Red Gas Can.
  18. Have a look at the Sage, expensive but bomb proof, great bag! Have had mine for 2 years, rides around in back seat of my truck, to the boat, back to the truck, to a different boat, taken everywhere & not taken care. not abused but just used, no issues at all.
  19. Jordo, That's a nice Caddis, I know of a place where it would work like a hot dam.
  20. It's the Bow. I drift in my own boat, rivers in Montana, some smaller & some bigger but all fished more than the Bow & have never seen the lack of etiquette that I see here, & not just guides.
