Even though the link is American based I wouldn't be surprised that it happens on this side of the border as well. http://watchdog.org/56758/why-have-so-many...ps-and-cabelas/

Novel coming in the new year Rick?

I think it is in the software packages that are chosen by a forum , there are a few that I know of that have no advertising at all but you must pay to join them. Several posts in this thread seem to imply that FFC accepted ad money for this ad which is not true and I'm trying make it clear that this is the case
-
You don't get it , the ad is random and FFC is not paid to run it, it shows up randomly, if you look at the top of the page you see 2 banner ads side by side, those are FFC sponsor ads, the one that covers the width of the page is random. Practically every forum has this type of random ad running in it and the content in most cases is based on your surfing habits. I personally get a lot of photo & software ads .
-
It's still there Don, the ads rotate around in a cycle as a matter of it's showing on top of the page as I'm typing this reply. I'd agree that these look like nothing than barbed bait hooks.
-
This advertiser is not a site sponsor to my knowledge and the location that you are seeing this ad is in a random area where alot of the advertizing is based on where you personally have been surfing the web, I generally see a lot of photography graphics advertizing when I come on here. Many forums have this type of random advertizing going on.

X2 One question though is calling RAP the only option or could the RCMP handle cases like this as well?

Good Waterproof Camera For Fishing?
Flytyer replied to cohoconnie's topic in General Chat - Fly Fishing Related
I'm assuming you'll be using in saltwater so you should do your homework as to which one to pick, the Pentax is pretty good from info I received few a couple of friends that have used them. Check out the reviews at. www.dpreview.com that should get your research started -
I would lodge a complaint with the shop, in my opinion this would constitute a black eye for the shop's reputation

Retirement Gift - Need Camera Advice
Flytyer replied to LynnF's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
You can get either a Nikon or Canon that would serve the recipient well. Both have very good starter cameras that can grow with the photographer. My personal pref is Canon as I have been using them for years. Most manufacturers have pretty cameras these days so as to which brand becomes a personal preference. -
Anti Fatigue Matting

Did you try Lee Valley? We got some there a few years ago. -
No I haven't heard anything but I know some glues are not the healthiest items around. My comment/question is more food for thought than anything else. This can apply to anything we use to tie with really. The current issue of FlyTyer has an article on the subject on how healthy tying materials but it is more aimed at human health, but one miight also wonder how it affects fish caught and released too.
-
Just a thought, is gorilla glue toxic? Something to keep in mind when experimenting with new materials.

Video / Pic Editing Software For Newbies
Flytyer replied to Smitty's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
You may want to take a look at: http://www.adobe.com/products/photoshop-pr...e-elements.html This bundle will probably work well for you once you get past the learning curve. Several wedding photographers have had great results with the Premiere Elements software for wedding video. The price is reasonable on this bundle too which is nice considering it's from Adobe
