  1. I would think until the dredging is done the Bow would be chocolate below the Highwood. But on the off chance I thought I would ask if anyone can report on the water visability below Highwood.. I may do a lake pike fish instead.Thx
  2. I have considered the minkota. Does it raise and lower the anchor at a decent speed?
  3. Mine is a 16 ft crestliner Jon, but a dierks could be bow mounted. When I research, dierks comes up the most.
  4. Just bought a pulley at princess auto, but may want to upgrade the bow mount to a metal type. Cant really find a decent metal bow mount one in cowtown. If any suggestions, feel free.
  5. It has gunnel pulleys and a cheap scotty bow mount, came with boat. Want metal bow mount with anchor mount pulley added on rope below bow bar to assist w less resistance. I see on net derks and hyde. May lean to derks with side mount pulley off back to take side gunnel rope feed. Was thinking of nephew welder to fab something for me, but may be worth just going retail.
  6. My back and bod are getting too old for my crappy anchor system. Looking for a decent metal 30 lb capable bow mount with gunnel pulley set up. Having trouble finding one locally.. A friend made his own, but I do not have that talent. Any input is appreciated.
  7. I recall the news caption saying it was motion activated cameras
  8. Good info and great pics. Thx
  9. I had a bull mastiff, but you would need one with no legs for a mid size.
  10. Big changes all over I am sure, but only saw Mac to Carseland. Lots of change, and above the weir is trashed. Conor is right, it is hard to describe without writing a book.
  11. Moore's Auto Glass in ph book, good $$$ and service
  12. Damn, the Bow is not to be messed with hi or low water. Thoughts out to the family, and bless him. PL
  13. I do not know for sure, but the fire dept may accept them.
  14. I was on the river the day the man died from lightning, and not far away. Don't screw with Mother Nature, as she always wins. It makes sense to lay the rod down, but up to this point, i had not broken down my rod, (makes so much sense and did not think of it). So great topic, as it is always good to gather smart info. Play Safe.
  15. Same, or if near by, go to my truck
  16. Thats is what I almost expected, getting stuck that is, good info BCube THX. Hurt my ribs so risk of bogging in and hard launch is not for me right now.
  17. Is MacK, Jensens, or Johnsons open at the gates, and if so which is easiest for now to launch from? If you wish you can PM me info. Thanks
  18. I'd rather wrestle a mosquito than a bear.
  19. I have heard to put a scented bounce sheet in your shirt pocket for repellant.Never tried it though.
  20. I too was wondering down south where an old fart w a 16 ft jon and motor can launch, without backing half way across the water. Also concerned of bogging down in the truck. By info provided I am thinking Mac but concerned of distance to back in.
  21. The link does not do much, which you tube should it go to?
  22. Ouch, That sucks!
  23. I also very much look forward to the changes. These ones are pretty extreme. As mentioned, time will tell.
