  1. I was up in the Yukon a couple of years ago. We didn't do a lot of fishing, lots of touring around. I did find the people at the information centers really helpful. The visitor center in Haines Junction is really nice. From Haines we went south and fished Kathleen river. Caught a rainbow and some grayling. Good sizes there. We then went to Jarvis river west of Haines Junction. It is smaller but full of grayling. My daughter had a blast there where she named her little mepps the grayling slayer. She couldn't keep them off. Beautiful up there!
  2. I'll explain it. I never said anything about adverse effects. It's a matter of preference. I do everything you said but we don't care for the taste of the water from the taps, be it from home or from filling stations. We bring the large bottles of water and put a hand pump in it.
  3. Looks like the Lundbreck fire hall has a spot to get water. Anyone know if that is true? The sanidumps website says so anyways. I would be coming down 22 so it would require a slight detour but may be worth it.
  4. We always bring different water for drinking but use the trailer water for washing dishes and brushing our teeth. I prefer clean/good water for that. I will keep investigating. Chris
  5. We will be camping and fishing in the Castle area next week and was wondering if there was a spot to get potable water for the trailer in the area. I would love to get water somewhere down there instead of hauling it from Calgary. Suggestions welcome.
  6. And don't forget the fun in catching "saucer". They are plentiful in the Ted.
  7. Breaks my heart. Mike and co are fully responsible for my wife and I loving fly fishing. Very sad.
  8. I practiced long distance releases today on the Highwood. Worked well.
  9. I understand there is a difference but how does that rule pertain to live wells in boats?
  10. Awesome, thanks for the info. Quadding is not my thing. Always looking for cool new places to check out with the family.
  11. FHD, that Bolean looks pretty nice. What does the camping look like up there. Is pretty cheap but was wondering if the campsites were nice.
