  1. Should be off to Diefenbaker for Goldeye with a buddy who is not doing well. He says they are the best breakfast fish and wants one last kick at it, so who am I to say no. Good fishing, good friends and good memories. Will be my first Goldeye breakfast.
  2. Best and shortest. Lol. NICE SLAB of a fish!!!
  3. Sounds like they deserved it. Glad only pride was hurt and the wallet. Lol
  4. Yes they are good. Was thinking the easy route to get kid into a few fish. May have to discuss this good idea further.
  5. I have fished Chain but always release, and yet see everyone harvest. Did not realize they are mud fish. May not after all then. The kids wanted to try them so thought one fry but may just go for fish and chips after instead.
  6. I believe so Smitty. They stock many thousand every year, and I have seen many harvest the limit. Mostly pan size, I will not take the full limit, but just enough to feed them and me. likely 6.
  7. Agreed on under sixteen and over 64 no license but same reg rules. Thanks for clearing that up Pete.
  8. Taking some kids to fish chain and would like to feed them a trout dinner. Regs are not quite clear to me. Possession is 5 trout. Is that total or per person? And it does not state any size restrictions. A little input is appreciated. Paul

  14. Have been invited to a buddies cabin at Diefenbaker Lake. I know it is big water and have never been there. I understand it has Pike, lakers, goldeye and others. He wants to target goldeye. Never fished for them. I will be on the fly and they may spin. Any info is appreciated re the fly weather on board post or pm. Thanks And Eagleflyfisher, will be calling soon.

  16. $125. on Red Deer Float
  17. $120 on Jareds float trip

  19. Having my 95 years young Mom over for dinner today. Thanks for everything Mom. Happy Mothers Day to our wives and Mom's. I have also been called a Mother on occasion. Paul
  20. FYI Lazyboy is closing for renovations and has up to 80 % off supposedly.
  21. It takes as long as you make it. Get out and fish the nice holes and gravel bars, and you day is longer. Take the time your schedule allows. You can easily make it a full day, or short. I prefer the full day, but if the wife is with me, it is usually a shorter day as she is tuckered out.
  22. Ralph, I agree w TL, Mac is better. My only concern is at Carseland how fast it drops cause of low water on end of concrete slabs. Take it straight on as at an angle could hang up axle on corner of last slab. At least the flipped upright slab is laying down again now. Paul
