NOT IF YOU SHUT THEM OFF
-
Simplelist easist way would be shut off the aerators..it may not kill them all.It will send to messages the smell of the dead fish, then The Media ..With the explanation,WHY.Don't even think about this either, they are virutually private waters, let them clean it up !!!

One of my first ties for boatman, was a Brian Chan fly.12-16 SCUD HOOK ,Blk.thread, peacock herl wrapped around the thread[reinforces the herl],then tieing it in above the barb,1/4" wide stripped of piece of feather from a pheasant tail feather.Wind the herl forward, fold over as a back, the pheasant.Tie of at the eye, with a large head[blk.thread].A large sewing needle, with rubber leg material.thread needle with rubber material, thru the peacock ,about 1/2 way down the fly.Small dap of glue on the needle,as you pass thru the peacock ,it will help cement legs in place.Or just use goose biots tied behind the head 1 on each side for legs..I'm sure Brian has a sxs of this on 1 of his many videos..When the fish are feeding heavily on bkswimmers,a prince nymph works very good also..

Don; Your lucky that the lake wasn't stocked with trout. Bron; Ironic isn't it,if there was stocked trout in there .The officers might have laid a charge. What the govt. is doing is 2 edged .If the lake has stocked trout & you keep those illegally stocked perch.Your breaking the law.Now the real brain fart.Perch in a stocked trout lake, can't keep the perch.Once the govt identifies the lake has perch in it they remove it from the stocking list.Resulting in pissed off trout guys & perch guys.Perch over populate & eat themselves outa house & home, get stunted.Trouble is nothing is being done to stop.Either retention of the perch from a stocked lake.Or eradicating the perch from a trout lake,as soon as possible....

I haven't kept one in years.Only a stocked fish, because that's what they were raised for.I used to keep fish only from lakes that were known to winterkill..

I hope they get after this post haste. With this identified in Montana years ago,i am surprised that it has taken this long to rear it's uglyness here.Other countries that have it or even have had rumors of it.Have been very proactive NZ,Australia, etc. Even more reason for us to all get behind, these inspection stn's & support the efforts.

It does say mandatory.I would stop.I wouldn't want a chase down ,by the RCMP/Sherriff.They might find something else, plus it's only minutes vs a possible ?????...my .02 cents

Sent you a link.AEP Watercraft inspections..When i came thru from the parklands, they checked everything. The guy ahead of me.Left his plug in & didn't empty his bilge. It cost him huge $$$.That was at the truck inspection[weigh scale] east of Medicine Hat.They even checked my anchor ropes, net, wading boots etc.All which is a very good thing, took about 10-15mins..

Morning/ So the minister was on the radio. She said she closed the use of OHV'S.Because ofcourse the dryness of the bush.BUT mostly because the OHV community riders asssoc. requested for her to do this. 660 cfr -
I like where your trying to go .But given the hard sell that is & was .To create QSF lakes here.I would like to expand the QSF regiment. But add to those new & present. No fishing thru the ice,C&R would be very nice, barbless.Specifially closed lake, therefore aeration .Shouldnot be an issue, because then your trespassing.. On the barbless note;We are the,Only prov. east of Ontario that isnot barbless. I fished the Parklands[FLIPPR LKS.] since 2010.I fish the lakes apprx.6 wks a yr.In 2010 there was very few if any of the lakes that had bucket bricade[perch],in themThere are now 30% of the lakes have some sort of illegal placement in them.Winterkill is a big issue,or lack of knowledge as to where to place the aerators/pump stn's.Manitoban's used to be a rare site on these lakes in 2010.One guy told me why fish for those boney as trout, when we of have a 10000 lakes that have walleye in them.Or bass. Just some thoughts from a fat guy, that will be there may22-oct freeze..
