Beedhead;I was talking to Jim Stelfox today.One of his last recomendations was to try a planting of 3n rainbows & 2n cutts.Reason for the 2n cutts was the hope,of them spawning in the rebult spawning channel leading up /down from Rawson.By doing these things it would take pressure[dinner] of the bulls.Oh and Bear pond didnot winterkill this year 13-14"gryling.

This is very bad news.This area is in such a pristine enviroment,that imo will be destoryed.One only has to look at other developments,around lakes in the province.Those clear waters,will soon be choked with blue green algae.

Some of us remember crawling valley res.,as a stocked trout fishery.The gov.,tried to stock it with brook trout,birds/pike etc. got them.But along came,escapees from the Bow River/canals.These escapees turned into some huge fish in 3 yrs.16-18lbs.Why doesn't fishery staff capture,some rb.spawners.Our hatchery could produce,tremendous fighters,jumpers etc.People come from all over the world to fish the Bow.Ah but if people came to fish our wild strain rb trout in lakes.Then where would Nenshi get that lost revenue from.....

You should try the bobbin,hands down has the nor-vise bobbin beat big time

taco; that's very similar to the scadden outlaw renegade. I do like there stripping basket & easier add on to attachments.with scadden you glue them on..

I completed there survey..I am in favor of the increase.BUT what about the seniors & youth. [eg]B.C fees have seniors & youths covered off.It has been spoken on this board many times,that the srd.doesn't no how many fisher's there are out there using the resource.At the very least the seniors & youth should have to be in the possession of a WIN card..

Hi All;There is some pretty good reads here....http://srd.alberta.ca/FishWildlife/f...t-oct2012....I thought i'd post this info,for all to read.Maybe it will get the juices flowing,being that at the last 2-3 mtgs there have only been 5 or 6 trout people there....

Worried that the hatchery may have suffered from the flood.The wells that they draw there water from were all submerged in the flood waters.I hope we don't have any losses there,or contamination.News showed fish from the elbow showing up on the streets.Your thoughts..

The minutes for the april mtg. probably won't be out until about a month before the next,which is in dec in edmonton
