  1. Pinkster: that's why it's a survey, with a comments area.FYI Tyrell lake used to get hundreds of thousands of trout, only to be consumed by pike & the warm water temps.I did the survey comments were to create a QSF of possibly a dual species Tiger & brook trout.Manitoba has had great success in doing these dual stockings, thus creating a trophy type fishery."BUT" before they implement it they MUST have very strict language to protect the Tigers. They would achieve Tigers in a more southerly destination instead of east of Edmonton,or south of the 60 parallel in the n.w. Sorry for the rant.
  2. Hey i'll bet that alot of them OLD Geezers didn't get the note from parks. They used my win info. Maybe the adminstration on this forum could d o a sticky...thanks for the info.
  3. Yes that's what i use.You can choose to install that base, say on the inside,or outside. There is also a flush mt.Which is very good when your using a load my boat, loader, nothing to bump into,or hangup. You can also use those bases for rod holders, beverage etc.

  5. I owned a crestliner1448 md frt, leaky rivets didn't have me keeping it long.Welded is the way to go.imo.They weigh more, cost more & generally have a greater alum.thickness.Your question on Marlon boats might be better answered by .Posting the Q on FLYBC.CA Forum.Guys started asking about them 2-3 yrs ago.
  6. Well i hate being blown off my spot & having my ropes long & away from the boat.So i use them on my 10' spratley & on a 17' flt btm tracker.Sometimes i'll have to use 3 anchor lifts.1ea. at the rear corner & a 30 at the bow.
  7. Sctty 3x..You can even get them in flush mount models..I hang 30lbs frt & bk of mine with no issues for 10 yrs.

  25. Birddog; Those will work.x2 on the utc70 thread in various colors.I don't see a chironomid larva. Here is a recipe for my best producer. It is Brian Chan's,1st fly that he ties on at a new lake.He calls it a BCW.[brian Chan Wiggler] I like a Hanak jig hook,sz10 or 12 red bead..Small/fine red wire counter wrap.Body & tail are all from a burgundy or red marabou feather. Not the w/bugger stuff. The stuff with long fine fibers.1 pc of red crystal flash.Bead 3/32 as close to the eye as possible.Can.Llama sells slotted beads[i use them].Thread base, tie on your tail [sparse],from behind the bead to the hook pt.Attach the red wire, same as the tail, eye to bend.I want the fly on the btm.& don't want the wind to drag it of the btm, when it's under the smallest indicator eye can see.Tear some fibers from the shank of the feather[long].Tie in by the tips, give them a few twists. So the fibers radiate outwards.Wrap up the shank, side xside.Rib with the wire segmented like a chironomid.Fish it on or near the btm..Tight lines & sinking corkies
