  2. In 5 years now since I started, I've yet to see my backing even one time! Granted, I don't put as many hours on the water as a lot of you, and my biggest Bow River fish is still only 22". My biggest fish to date was a 29" bully that made my arm sore, but she didn't put me into my backing either. Granted, I did run downstream a ways with that one.. That was with my Sage Fli 696-4.
  3. I believe Silverdoctor's sturgeon would disagree with that 4 weight real quick!!
  4. Might as well dig up this thread from 3 pages in... Edmonton trading Penner to LA was the biggest trade of the day! Pretty inactive trade deadline this year. So we get Colton Teubert, a 1st round pick this year, and a conditional pick next year. I'm a BIT concerned that TSN is saying Teubert has the potential to be a "4 or 5th" D-man.. I'm pretty sure that's what I heard. And then the 1st rounder will probably be down around the ~20th pick.. not so sure this trade is THAT good for the rebuild myself. Fellow Oilers fans, what say ye?
  5. I changed the thermostat in our van last night.. in our driveway.. at -25C. It was a proud Canadian moment. But.. it sucked.
  6. Holy crap, what a coincidence!!
  7. Ahh... I just googled T-bagged and I'm pretty sure the results I got were NOT what happened.. at least I hope not! So um, what happened?
  8. A buddy of mine is a plumber and does good work. I'll send you a PM with his contact info.
  9. You'll have no issues at all. Take it in, and as long as the have the same model rod in stock, they'll probably hand you a replacement tip right then and there.
  10. HA! Yes.. today is indeed Thursday! Nevermind...
  11. When they flushed the cooling system and replaced the rad cap, did they check to make sure the radiator fins are nice and clean and not full of bugs? Could be that it's plugged up and has insufficient air flow to properly cool.. As for the hot/cold/hot/cold thing, I'm having the same problem with my Grand Caravan right now. Something's goofy. I replaced the thermostat and it seemed good for awhile, but it's happening again after a few weeks. I have a couple more ideas.. just not too keen on working in the cold.
  12. I bought a "Viking" brand waterproof breathable jacket from Marks Work Wearhouse 2 years back.. works great! I believe the Viking brand is now Dakota though. I'm pretty sure this is the one (it has a full hood too that you can't see in the picture): http://www2.marks.com/productdetails.asp?c...%3FOpenDocument I got it on sale for around ~$120 if I remember correctly.
