  1. Looks like an amazing time! And in hindsight, being dropped off at the wrong lake will make for a good campfire story!
  2. Just reading that made me angry. I understand they have a job to do, but flies? Really?! A fella could really do alot of damage with those! Second time I've seen this situation posted here..
  3. I met a fairy today who said she would grant me one wish. " I want to live forever", I said. "Sorry", said the fairy, "I can't grant wishes like that." I said, "Okay I want to die when the Calgary Flames win the Stanley cup. "Crafty bastard aren't you ?," she replied
  4. I find it interesting that the poll results don't really form a Bell Curve. It's fairly close, but not quite.
  5. Any ideas about good places to go that are out of the city lights, but not too far of a drive? I suppose anywhere north of the city towards balzac/airdrie would be decent since it's mostly flat.
  6. I wonder if it was tweedledum and tweedledummer from a couple years back?! Idiots.. sorry, Ignorant IMO. That's like wanting to go for a peaceful camping trip and setting up in the middle of McLean Creek or Waiparous and then complaining about the dirtbikes. As far as what to do about it.. I would've called him on it. "Look around you. Look at where you are. I'M a fly angler too. There's KILOMETERS of blue ribbon fishery here buddy, go somewhere else."
  7. SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
  8. Well done! Amazing up there isn't it?!
  9. I don't believe there are any Golden Trout in BC.. I'd say it's just a dark strain of rainbow trout. Perhaps a Redband Trout? *edit* This looks like the one. http://www.fisheries.org/units/AFSmontana/...n%20status2.htm The article mentions portions of British Columbia.
  10. Exactly what I was going to say. Haven't been there myself yet, but everyone I talk to says they're tricky to catch! Very picky eaters.
  11. Here's the pic from the AO forums:
  12. Yeah, I'm pretty sure I hooked two that big a couple weeks back.. First one broke me off, second one spit the hook. Not cool. Very cool for you though!
  13. I don't care where you're from, that's dedication right there!
  14. Click here if the movie does not play.
  15. Good. I hope their decision stands up. 17 years is just ridiculous!
  16. SEVENTEEN years at $102 million! http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=327880 27 year old signs a 17 year contract?!!? What the heck is going on in the NHL these days?!? Unbelievable..
  17. Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo's FTW! www.tirerack.com is an awesome site for researching this stuff..
  18. Obviously you can't carry it all with you, but: http://www.costco.ca/Browse/Product.aspx?P...matchallpartial
  19. No.. I was actually talking about the people that drive GOLF'S and Echo's, etc. who still take up 3/4 of the road. You know the ones.. you try to pass them on narrow streets and you see them looking back in forth in their mirrors panicking.. wondering if there's enough room, when there's 4 FEET on either side. You'd swear they were driving a city bus.
  20. 60'?! Geez b'ye.. that's barely enough room for 2 Smart cars for the type you're talking about! Never ceases to amaze me how "big" some people think their vehicles are..
  21. Yep! http://www.fishwest.net/Merchant2/merchant...Code=WW33TBSIGL Although I believe the preferred technique when fishing in the dark is either swinging/stripping flies or streamers in the current, and letting the fish hook themselves.
  22. Oops! Yeah I guess there's some essential information missing isn't there? haha The column that says 118 is "average length in centimeters".
  23. Snipped from the Alberta Stocking Reports: Yowza! I know they put some retired brood stockers in there.. but man, haven't seen a 4 foot rainbow trout in awhile... that's about 8 inches longer on "average" than that freak world record rainbow caught in Diefenbaker!
