  1. What is good for the economy is the fact the government requires this inspection which in turn gives rise to needed employment . VERY NEEDED. Mechanics, canadian Tire, parts stores, etc. Then people can EAT. I have the same opinion of government as most, but, in this case it is a good thing. Keeps the crap of the road which is part of the theme in this thread. Bad drivers are everywhere.
  2. Good on you and Outcast Russ! Owning an Outcast boat this is good info.
  3. One big difference is in N.S. the government makes you get a vehicle inspection every year or is it two? Out here it depends on what your insurance company requires. ie. Lots of junk with bald tires on road. It keeps a lot of the misfits off the road and pumps some needed $$$$ into the local economy.
  4. I read that many moons ago also. I found it at the public lireary along with a lot of other gooders. Great book!
  5. Nice pics and report. I took my family out to FC on sunday around 11 and my 4 year old could not wait to get the Shakespear Spiderman in the water. We only fished for an hour and managed 2 whites and a bow as my 2 year old, who did not want to stay in the wagon any longer was making for the river. Very fun indeed. I enjoy it on the Crow even more as everything is downsized for them.
  6. Nice report.
  7. Being a Caper I will also mention the Margaree in the Highlands of CB. Beautiful river and has nice runs of salmon. A lot will depend on water levels during your visit. If there is a bit of rain, get out as the fish will move up. Get to a pool early as it is a rotaional thing starting at 6 AM. First through the pool has a good crack at a fish. Albert Jenkins is a local guide in the area and it should not be difficult to find him through the locals. Funny how I grew up an hour away from Margaree and rarely fished it and now would love this opportunity. Did get there twice in the past 4 years and landed a nice grisle last time out. Hard doing the trip now with 2 little guys and the better half. Next year for me. Good luck!

  15. Headscan The guy at the C tire gas bar in Shawnessey does a good job. had many filled there in the past 3 years and all have lasted. He is honest and even told me of some that did not need filling as they were surface chips and not going to crack. he was right. 20 bucks for the first and 10 after for each I think.

  17. The trunk has been around for a few years and I can say it is a quality book!
  18. Great story teck. Glad all is working out.
  19. You can not go wrong with this jacket. I own a lighter verson Simms and it is awesome. I do know a guy who owns a G3 and he raves about it. Although pricey, Simms stands by their product and it is all I buy. You will get years out of it and this is how I justify the price.

    Lime Trude

Those are my GO TO for cutties all summer.
  21. This is a good informative thread. I only tow a 10 foot Rockwood tent trailer so the f150 is suffice. I will keep an eye on this as it may give some insight for me in the future.
  22. Don't worry MTB, I am sticking with the single handle 9 footers as well.
  23. Tell that to John fergusson Jr. I doubt his phone is busy!
  24. I am a big time Habs fan and just watched the Atlanta Montreal game. Moving Huet was strictly a salary dump and I am sad to see him go. Solid tender and did a lot for his team. However, hockey is business and having Price in the wings is their gamble. Speaking of a rookie goalie taking them deep, remember Dryden, Roy...... Only time can tell but Price has been an MVP at all levels he played. Huet was rumored to be asking for 4-5 million next year which is his approximate market value. Look at Rolosen( 3.8 mill, Emery cloth 3.7 million). It would be nice to have Huet going into the playoffs for sure but, at least they got a second rounder in an upcoming draft that is said to be very deep in talent. As far as Richards going to Dallas, the Stars improved no matter what. They only lost a backup and replaced him with a backup. Richards was the playoff MVP in 04 when they beat the Flames. I would be weary of taking the big 7.8 mill on for a few more years, but he is a great player and proven winner.
  25. Also have the mustang and vouch for it. The fishin hole around 175.00. Nice as it is not cumbersome .
