  3. Donnie Baseball Mattingly Evander The Real Deal Holyfield Dave Charlie Manson Tommy Hitman Hearns just a quick few to add
  4. Lots of good reels mentioned. My first good reel I bought was a ROSS Cimmaron about 7 years ago. Have another spool and line for this system and I would highly endorse Ross in the $200 range. I now also have 2 GALVAN reels and I put them high on the list. Drag is smoother on the Galvans but they are more $$$. Paid around 340 for an OB-5 5 years ago and bought a Torque on ebay for 230.00 last year for my 4 wt. Love it. Service with Lou galvan ( owner) has been exceptional! These reels are very good and with the Canadian Dollar you could get a good deal. I would buy another tomorrow if I needed it! Give them a look. Westwinds carries them. Good Luck
  5. I think a$ 200.00 vice can last a lifetime. It also depends on use and abuse. I have a Peak rotary for 3 years after discussing this same topic 3 years ago. It is, as described in a vice review, Bombproof. Jaws, are the integral part of the system and I think over time some may wear out. I consider this to be normal for all equipment fishing related or not. IMO A lot of the vices mentioned are quality and will last. Test drive as some have stated. Cheers rob
  6. Russ Looking to buy a new sink tip as my current one has gone 3 years and is cracking and not casting as it once did. You know my streamer rod ( 7 wt. sage VPS). I have a SA wet tip express type 4. Want something a little faster sink rate and am open to options. Are you happy with your sink tip? Is this a SA? What are some of you others using? Thanks ps. How is the baby?
  7. That is a dandy!!!!!

  10. Piggy bank, top drawer.... oh.... to many details...
  11. I also have had a lot more good ones than bad!
  12. Fix your own. Easy! Most shops cary a generic kit with the adhesive for 20-25 bucks. My advice, let the glue set a while as recommended and then attach the felts. I have done this years ago before owning aquastealth Simms and it worked fine. Good luck.
  13. Dave 1 t-shirt 2xl 1 toque thanks rob walker
  14. If you are going to bug someone, I think you got the right guy. I very much enjoyed all his works and own them all.
  15. Being a habs fan I can say I am not biased. Favorite recent player is a LEAF ( Wendel). My opinion of the greatest ever is a BRUIN (Bobby Orr).
  16. It is good being a HABS fan these days although over the past week they showed inconsistency. Always look forward to Leafs vs. Habs. I will say this, Sundin is an awesome force everrtime I watch him. Not bad considering I hate Leafs!
  17. Good points made and I agree when it is done tastefully!
  18. Total of 8. A few years in junior high, many years ago. Since I moved out West 10 years ago and discovered the gems ( bow, crow, etc. ) I have another 6 good years in. Great pastime in winter.
  19. Thanks Lundvike and Diesel. Tube is in and I am picking up tonite. Will go with the HDMI included in the PVR for the time being. Later, might take your advice and try the shop you mentioned. Ales are good for saturday hockey!!! Cheers
  20. Garage insulated? I would put a few 2x4 under to keep directly of the concrete slab and as others said, it should be fine? 2 freezers???? your garage is bigger than mine!
  21. I vote RED.
  22. Dido on the advice from Toolman regarding Westwinds, Gord, and Frog Hair. Westwinds and Fishtales gets all my money.
  23. " Love is like a butterfly..." I am 37 but, my parents listened to all the oldies.
  24. Good for you. It is nice to pass that savings on to your DAD.
  25. A lot of this would depend on the spot itself. If it is a long run or a "spot" on a big river ( BOW), with a lot of fish, I do not think it would factor as much. If it were a smaller river with less fish then, yes, it would factor in hurting that particular spot. Again there is the factor of how often is this spot being worked. Then, maybe the people that fish this place often are catching nada. Doubtful if thet are there that often.
