  1. Wow!!!! Did little !@#$%^& johnny get what he deserved when his folks found out????
  2. The only award he should get is a Grammy or perhaps a medal for springboard!!!!!!
  3. weedy Could you pm an email address and I will snap a few pics to show you the furnace room. Thanks Rob
  4. Hi Weedy Some good points indeed. Thanks. The humidity # I quote is based on the click I get on my humistat control. Only accurate within 5%. Might have to look at a measuring device. Will look in attic tommorow for insulation blocking soffit. My furnace does not turn on when any exhaust fan is running. Vents should be good but, will revisit. My fresh air supply for furnace is ducted to a controled hoyme damper. No heat exchanger. Thanks
  5. I The damper seems like a can't miss! On most furnaces, there is the BUCKET where the fresh air intake is supplied for the furnace. Put your hand there or better yet check out the ice on it when it is 20 below. Drafty and cold!!!! The Hoyme replaces the bucket and only allows air in when the furnace calls to fire up. I bought mine at Wolsey ( sp.) for around 200 bucks. Installed myself in a half hour. You need to wire it into your thermostat. Very basic. Google or PM for more info.
  6. I realize 50% is to high and this is something I already stated. It looks to me that with a family of 4 ( 2 little fishermen) and cooking, laundry, etc., we are putting a lot of vapour in the house. Much better the past 24 hours as it is only -12. NICE WEATHER!!!!!!
  7. Where I had a few nightmarish issues with quality from our builder, I may take a piece of casing off one of the upstairs windows to ensure things are insulated well. You never know. It would illiminate one option.
  8. Hi Tim I did shut the water off and remove the tray, assembly, etc. I did not shut the power to the small motor as I turned the dial on the humistat to 0% and this should take care of that. Although I am not sure, I feel the furnace does get enough fresh air for combustion. I put a Hoymey Damper on last year on the reccomendation from the buys who last cleaned my ducts and furnace. It opens when furnace fires. Good invention some of you may want to look at. The hardwood is not an issuse as it is prefinished and has the natural lines between each piece. Only minimal movement around a few vent openings. The inside hunidity is probably around 50% which should be fine for the floor. It is a 2 story and the main floor is not bad. More of an issue upstairs. 2-3 degrees colder I assume. Playing the waiting game. Thanks all who replied.
  9. Wondering if anyone here has tried this as an option to lower house humidy. My house is just under 6 years old and I upgraded my windows to low E with Argon. Still have lots of ice and moisture inside the windows. Exhaust fans run, blinds are up a few inches, etc., etc., dissconect the humidifier on my furnace. When it is -30 maybe this is the best it gets??????? Anyone use the dehumidifier and see a difference? Thanks
  10. Those are awesome. A women tells her husband that they need to start saving some more $$$$ so his nice little pasttime of cold beers and hockey will have to stop. To much money she tells him. So, this goes on for a while and hubby has no more beers with his sports. Then, one day, he finds a receit for 80 bucks worth of make up and fragrance and brings it to her attention. She, quite bubbly states that these are products she feels will make herself LOOK NICE for him. Hubby, in disgust replies, " What the hell do you think the beer was for?????"
  11. 33, 34, 35.... what's the difference sounds like # 34's goals against for the upcoming week perhaps........ punk hogg...... joke for puck hog if not fully understood!!!!!!!!!
  12. Hey Hawg Mt thread comment was not what you think it is. It was a reference to maxwell's "get your own thread" and it was a joke. I am sure he was joking and so was I. Some don't or can't take jokes. When a team allows more than they score it can't be placed on just the tender!!!!! And this is not a joke. Having # 33 signed for 7-8 million for the next 5-6 might be a good joke!!!!
  13. Ah conme on!!!!! my team is not hanging by a thread!!!!!! Although Tampa beat us last night! DOHH!!!!!
  14. Funny story!!!! think if you asked for a VCR???? THE HORROR THE HORROR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

  16. Tim....did Santa land early????? I don't recall if you cast my 4wt XP this summer in our travels. Anyhow, I use GPX and am very satisfied. Probably similar since both rods are rated fast. Did ya get my last pm?
  17. I am a big Habs Fan and loved Wendel!!!!!! A Leaf!!!!!!
  18. I will disagree with some things said here and keep in mind this is IMO. I own a Ford F150 XTR 5.4. Before I bought, I researched everything, just like I do buying anything the past few years. ( AC unit, LCD TV, ect....) My truck gets 500 km on a tank in the city. Not bad not great. The highway, and it seems you stated towing, is closer to 600 km. My brother has owned almost everything when it comes to trucks and SUV. He now drives a GMC and also owns a Tahoe. He had a Eddie Bauer expedition before the Tahoe and much preferred it inside and out. ( to many reasons to list) The 5.4 is a strong engine with a lot of torque. Important when towing! All the domestic companies are going through hell right now. Go figure! Ford has sold more trucks in the past 30 years than anyone. I know what the comments wil be here!!!! LOL Ford is known for producing one thing well...Trucks and that is it. 75% of their sales are trucks, SUV. I know the import argument and even bought a Honda Oddessey this summer. ( 2 kids) The van is awesome and I never considered Domestic here! Oh yeah F first O 0n R race D day
