Legality Of Motor Boats Above 22X
Jayhad replied to Jayhad's topic in General Chat - Fishing Related
no where did anyone mention speed boats, a 17' jon with a 60/40 would be plenty. More importantly why do think you other users shouldn't be able to access the Bow? You can run jets on the section above bears pawand below 22 X and those areas are not crawling with jet skis/PWCs,water skiers, sports boats, and on and on..... -

Changing Home Phone And Cell Provider
Jayhad replied to fishinglibin's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
I have a galaxy s3 it sucks compared to the blackberry Z10 which i also have, it's twice as slow, the screen is no where near the resolution and the phone has a hollow springy sound to it, both are on the same provider but the S3 drops calls much more regularly than the BB. If you are in Alberta and using a land based Plain Old Telephone Service (POTS) regardless of which company you choose to pay you are using Telus' services and contributing to the share value and for that I thank you. -
relationships and facebook are both responsible for making pro-staffers lately. If you have buddy that is the distributor for XYZ and he has budget, good chance you are getting the deals. If you have 3000 FB friends you have large exposure to typically the target market of said company.

you are right but "hiding" leader from the fish isn't the reason for using the fluoro. Probably better that you "leave the fluoro at home"

Legality Of Motor Boats Above 22X

The only place I've had an issue with low water is just below Centre, and just above Crowchild. every where else no problems drifting thru. I know the section you are talking about but there is a deep channel flowing just off of river right -
Hey guys, this is in Hidden Valley NW and we may be able to get the tobacco smokers to puff out side.

what sneaky said perhaps to muchdeer hair, but thedungeons are intended to be positively bouyant. Heavier sink tip. The dungeoun is meant to float above the structure you are fishing, being pulled down by the sink tip... once you learn the most effective ways to fish a dungeon they are unstoppable. YOur leader is 4' to long, just use 3-4' of 15lb flouro

could you clarify this? I'm not attacking just asking, I drifted once this season below the glenmore so I don't really know about that water post flood, are there sections now that are too shallow to allow a boat through? If one was to jet in the city I would think launching above the core would be key -

Ridiculous arguement..... in the last decade jets haven't done the "damage" that one flood did.. Higher fines for jetting in the city..... yes because the current fine structure is clearly not working.... -
Good video, thanks. MODS Why do others that don't have a commercial entity get banned when they post their videos here and this one gets by?

A) there's no way to successfully fight for more access. No one from any level of government will accept responsibility for launches, no one will sit down to discuss it. TU doesn't care, the guides association doesn't care as long as launches are open downstream of glenmore and after years of trying to get traction and going no where i've decided this fighting for others to have access isn't for me anymore. B ) challenge accepted -

you are correct they don't need a boat but they have to be able to prove without a reasonable doubt it was X boat in the water. I'd like to know when the life jacket case was heard by the court, any ideas? I've talked to a couple of lawyers about this and they think it could be winable. If one yhas proven to the Feds that they are safely capable of operating a motor boat, by doing the course and test, the city shouldn't be able to say it is a safety issue. But better yet maybe sneaky is right and I should just be quiet about this.... -

I also wonder who would issue the ticket? CPS no longer has a boat unit -
so let's get 2014 started with a hot topic... Jetboats. Does anyone know what the "no motorboat" bylaw fine (in $$$) is on the Bow river above 22X? From what I have been able to research the Feds deemed the Bow as a navigatable water way and the Feds should have the upper hand over the City in regards to the using the waterway, but of course I'm not a lawyer. I know some of you will spaz about this topic but what are your thoughts on the legality of running jets right up to Bears Paws

Considering Moving To Bc, Kamloops Info
Jayhad replied to fishinglibin's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
there's not a lot of browns in Kamloops, reason enough for me -
if you never done it, a 7wt is going to be light unless you are focusing on chucking dries. 7wt isn't going to throw big heavy tips well, I personally feel 9wts are the best bet for beginners.

when I tie dungeons I tie them in a production line style.. i tie tonnes of rear halfs, then join them all, then heads. This way I practice each section uninterrupted, when I get to deer hair heads i find the heads become the most consistent , but the first two always suck.

Chad, straight up I think bunny sucks on dungeons and ruins the way Kelly Galloup designed them to move.... BUT bunny does have it's benefit of getting down. Bunny also makes yanking that fly out of the water 1000 times in a day tough, it feels heavy. If you google the recipe the first youtube video that comes up is tied with bunny :$*%&: When I tie with two colours yellow over olive. i will tie in an olive marabou tail wrap the body yellow chenille and then wrap with olive schlappen. The head will be olive. I also really like fishing burnt orange/yellow/brown. it has an awesome brown trout look to it. For this one i will tie in an burnt orange and brown marabou tail wrap the body yellow chenille and then wrap with burnt orange/yellow/brown schlappen. I stack the 3 schlappens and wrap together. The head will be mixed.
