  1. I always used one of those lock balls, until I rented my neighbour's garage. I was looking at the trailer gator. Trailergator.com
  2. I have one in the NW you can borrow
  3. Jayhad

    Owls Etc.

    Looking great bro, keep shooting
  4. Flysquishy, Tuesdays and Thursdays a no go for me.... but my wife is due Aug 1st so don't plan on me... things are getting hectic
  5. Darren, the Fishpond fishing thermometers are perfect, infra-red will only read the surface temp http://fishpondusa.com/product/detail/swift-current-thermometer/1992
  6. Sorry your gear got nicked and I'm probably going to get flamed for this, but if you don't want something stolen don't leave it in your vehicle...... isn't not like they are vaults.
  7. Northport, I totally agree with you...
  8. How did he taste?
  9. I think keep em, big pike deserve to be there and they give the poachers something that will easily take the bait
  10. try south side, up further, small hard hike, big bruins at end rip it
  11. I haven't been on that section this season, couldn't find any around there last season.
  12. My personal favourite dry fly rod for hopper droppers I own is the Sage ZXL 586, nice medium action stick, fairly light and you can find them cheap compared to the current line up.
  13. If you ever choose to unload those rods drop me a line I'll take them, I don't have any 10' RPLs
  14. Good thread guys, I have my first coming Aug 1st. How long until you can drop them in the back pack?
  15. Flysquishy, what's happening bro, you been banging toads on your strip along the cliff? We need to break bread again, maybe this time the dog won't eat your meat...... whoa
  16. I have several 10' sticks, I'm a real fan of them my only concern is throwing a heavy rod all day... if the stick is in the class of a Sage One or other high end stick there may not be an issue of weight. I find I have way more control with a 10' other than shorter sticks
  17. I find I feel out of touch with the river the first few drifts of the season. You can really shorten the learning curve if you go out with a guide for a drift.
  18. watermasters are terrible, save your cash buy a sheet of plywood for your seat and a surveyor raft from canadian tire..... it's equivalent to a water master and $1500 less. Watermasters have no rocker which makes the boats plow through the water not cut through it. There are way better options out there, Watermasters were rad 10 years ago, they haven't stayed with the market
  19. not to happy, I brought my boat into the garage, which is heated this winter so my Zebra mussels wouldn't die..... guess they won't get any of my tourist dollars
  20. Don't limit yourself to a wade and walk, most guides will charge little more to do a drift.
  21. Dang, Dutchie has had a few big ticket items boasted over the last few years
  22. Well said Brent, seriously Browns are much more susceptible to Sapro when stressed, stressed fish may forgo spawning, catching fish stresses them. How hard is it to understand if we give them a break they will benefit?
