  1. Awesome, water looks clear to me.Or is this before the rains came?
  2. Funny I've been playing around with the same idea for a boatman with biot tails.I call it the princeman.
  3. Ya and we have to see a pic.lol.
  4. I have a blaze orange stimmy in my fishing hat.Should be good enough no?Or should i add a stone? lol.
  5. Also hwy 24 up to the weir, every year i see people fishing there when its closed a simple sign would do wonders.
  6. Ice fishing at lake Newell,With the money you save you could build a nice ice shanty for the wife.
  7. Not sure what your question is,my old Johnson would not start in gear only in neutral.Like said above if you can't pull it at all then indeed you have something stuck in the impeller. Sometimes its not visible and you have to remove the shoe to get at it.
  8. No problem at all,i would think you'll be much quicker then a drift boat so you'll have plenty of time to stop and fish. Trolling a streamer when paddling may work but make sure you have some sort of rod holder.
  9. Ah, its the middle of some of the best dryfly fishing the Bow has to offer and your asking about winter storage? You need to fish more. welcome to the forum.Winter pffft.
  10. I say put away the bobber and cast a dry.
  11. I've also followed sparky, the pelicans take advantage of this as the fish sit in shallow water recovering from the blast.
  12. If you see me in my jet please move aside as jet boats get first dibs on the good spots.
  13. Looks good and much better then my first attempt.Mine looked more like a tennis racket.
  14. Tungsten

    Reels?

Depends if you like a tip heavy rod or something balanced. my 6wt 10' east fork had a phlueger 7/8 it was a little light and the rod just didn't feel right being so tip heavy.I ended up putting two colors of lead core on the spool. Play around with some weights and see what feels good.
  15. I'm also in the market for some of the thin stuff. How do you tell if its thin enough? The stuff i have was pretty clear but after tying with it its too thick the colors don't come through.
  16. AWD is full time front wheel drive and the rear kicks in when the front slips. On most cars i think. I have the "auto" 4 wheel drive mode(option) in my GMC and was told by the gear guys to not use it.To hard on the transfer case i guess.
  17. That sounds about right, same as doing drums on a older car.I was able to do mine with a big flat screw driver.
  18. Myself i stay away from the RV centers.Brake adjustment is easy google it.For the lift i would recommend Standens, there the suspension people.
  19. Ya i thought it was from a boat also but after reading up a bit more she was standing in shallow water when she hooked a fish and tripped. Her boyfriend jumped in and tried to save her but i guess the water was just too fast.
  20. Some good news some bad, The good, i was able to get the paint off of the storage area by just rubbing it with thinner worked well. Bad news, The paint on the hull never really went hard it was a little soft. Its been on for over 2 months now.So off to the paint experts and ask some questions. The fellow i talked to said that i had most likely put the first coat of paint on to thick so the surface had dried before all the chemicals could flash out.I looked at him and said i have to sand it all off don't I.He replied maybe but if i left it in the sun after a light sanding that may do it. So while i was there i got a gallon of paint since i wasn't gonna use the same stuff so color change again lol. So i tried the sand and sun thing but it just wasn't happening i had put just to much paint on.Time for the power sander. Back to the inside,i FG over the seams of the bench supports and coated ever thing one last time with epoxy. 1 coat of primer applied with THIN coats ha ha and some more sanding. Next up ,painting for the last time hopefully. Almost done...
  21. Goes to show ya how things can go from fun to fatal in just a few seconds.I can only imagine what she the guide is going though.I now no why you see some guide boats with safety rails that are 3' above the gunnel's.
