  1. Ya the rod thing is up to you,one thing to look at would be warranty turn around time.Myself i have only dealt with Sage it took 5 weeks and that was taking it to a fly shop.
  2. Funny story, you could have also used a foam fly as an indi.
  3. What don't people like about thingamabobs? Myself there easy to adjust up and down, easy to remove hold up a ton of weight available in different sizes.Whats not to like?
  4. Ya the rod you have will do for everything,If i can cast heavy streamer rigs with a 3 wt then yours should be fine. My rule of thumb is the heavier i go the shorter the leader as it makes it easier to cast.
  5. Talking about lake flies i started tying cronies about 6 years ago.Have a couple hundred now,the best thing is they seem to work better on the Bow then they do in lakes haha.
  6. Anybody on here do this or can recommend someone. Thanks,
  7. Additional Restrictions: •The edible flesh of legally kept game fish must not be wasted, destroyed, spoiled or abandoned (this does not apply to burbot). •Fish must not be removed from, or disturbed in, any facility or structure designed to capture, hold or facilitate the passage of fish. Fishing is prohibited by any method within 25 yards (22.86 m) downstream of the lower entrance of any fishway, canal, obstacle or leap. Weirs and dams are considered obstacles. NOTE: Fishways, fish ladders, impoundment nets, fish traps and other similar structures are set up to assist in the management or the study of fisheries, or to allow the passage of fish. •Angling is not permitted through the ice: a) into beaver ponds or into flowing waters in Zone 1 (Eastern Slopes In the general part just under "its unlawful to"
  8. If you have the legal description of the land you should be able to goto land titles and find out.
  9. Maybe your leader is too short/long or your dragging bottom too much,or maybe your mending needs some help. If your right handed fish from river right, cast upstream and out about 0-6' away from the bank let the indi float straight back at you. This keeps the drift drag free.Strip line as it floats back, roll cast it out to get it air born and haul away.Work your way upstream and play with the length of your leader.
  10. Ya at 4.9oz for the 2 its a little heavy.Some notice some don't.
  11. got it i think,file....save as....seams to work.
  12. Haha Thanks all,to be honest i have no idea what you guys are saying lol!
  13. How do i save some guitar tabs to my laptop?I don't have internet when i'm camping so i would like to have my tabs on my laptop. Is there a way to copy and paste the tabs? I have a Acer no fancy stuff like word and the like. Thanks,
  14. E bay is my guess,i had a 6904 Z built for me 2 years ago $480 cd delivered to my door.
  15. Triploid on here has one,we used it for some spring lake fishing. You have to stay close to the fish to get a good view, but for the Bow it would work great when theres 3 in the boat as you could fit it all in.Going to upper K tomorrow with it.Just can't figure out how to post it on u tube or send links so others can view it.

  17. Thanks guys,Steve no orders yet but this one will come up for sale soon. When it sells i'll have to build another since well i won't have one.lol.
  18. Holy crap,so no fishing trips this year eh? For that price you could just build a new roof with a steeper pitch and shingle it. Aviod the shot gun thing,i still want to fish in your boat. Hopefully you can find the leak and get it fixed.
  19. After you catch a fish rub your fly on the slime.Better yet if theres some blood.I don't doit of course i just heard of it.
  20. Sorry I've been fishing, working bla bla. Managed to get out for a test on Glenmore. Rowed real nice, easy to stand in.At one point i had a big rock at the stern to be my battery and motor.Only had to move the seat a few inches and it was good. So this is how my bench supports will look. They'll be sealed up glued and taped to the boat. This will give me about 10" of adjustment.I think the oar locks will be permanent.
  21. Check to see if it was trailered or where it sits on the trailer, thats where it will wear and become thin. Also you should be able to find the year it was made by the serial #.My last boat was a rivited Sylvan jon 1448 beat the crap out of it for 12 years it was still going strong with no leaks.
  22. Any pics of said damage? Sounds nasty. As far as repair goes,if it is poly resin theres a place in Calgary that has the poly resin its much cheaper then epoxy resin.Theres also boat mart in Edmonton that will have what you need. Edit that, boat craft not mart.
