  6. You are welcome to invite me along!! P
  7. Nice work Mat. I too have written letters and received feedback on the on gong discussions (though I have not heard from Knight, at this point in time, but I'll hold my breath) at the legislature... Keep up the good work! P
  8. These are the biggest that I know of (Simms)... They are custom... 4XL* G4Z, G4P 59"-60" 35"-36" 12-13
  9. Yeah that was posted last year sometime (or even the year before)!! P
  10. A 9' 5 wt is my primary nymphing rod for the "summer" season (I can cast 3 fly rigs just fine with it). Though I'm one of the nuts on here that brings a quiver with me - 4 wt for dries, 5 wt for nymphing and 6 wt for streamers... A 4 and 6 would probably work for you, but then again, many on here use 10' 5 wts which is perfect for nymphing on the Bow... Of course, this is my opinion/preference... P

    The Surf!

Maybe try some "hot" water to expand the joint a little... Not sure if it would hurt the rod at all. maybe some builders can pipe up... Also if you get some rubber grippy stuff that you use to open jars with - not sure what it's called (same material that is used to keep area rugs from slipping on hardwood floors)... I carry some in my rod tubes, for just this purpose. Wrap each section to grip and twist... P
  12. Great photos G! Keep'em coming! Cheers, P
  13. Thoughts and prayers, Lynn! P
  14. The "redneck" board ( Alberta Outdoorsmen Forum) had a thread from someone that owns a fishing lodge that was looking for staff...
  15. I usually tip 15% - 20% depending on the service!!
  16. Cool! I've reached legendary status! I guess that's better then "douche bag status", like some - yourself included!
  17. Yeah my 1st exp. at FTs was about the same... I did give them another chance however and they have come through for me on several occasions. Same goes with CPs and BRTFs - I've had mostly good exp. with both of those shops, but the odd time you get someone that is an idiot, or is having a bad day... It's important to develop a relationship with the employees at the shops as they can make your experiences worthwhile!! It's good to have a choice - that's capitalism! P
  18. "Anti Hunting" is one of the reasons why I support MEC!! P
  19. There was a spot on CBC Radio 2 a week or two ago with a BNP Historian talking about the WWI German POWs that were interned there... As you drive into Kananaskis on Hwy 40 just past Barrier info centre, on the left you pass "The Colonel's Cabin" (where the staff accommodations are and the U of C buildings). That is where the WWII POW camp was. You might want to contact the Glenbow Museum or someone at U of C they should have the answer for you... Let us know what you fine out... *Edit* here's some basic info: http://www.albertasource.ca/homefront/ww2/...amps/index.html http://members.memlane.com/djcarter/notes.htm P
  20. D, You don't know!! Baby transport (or child carrier, stroller, perambulator, pram, or baby carrier) consists of devices for transporting and carrying infants. A "child carrier" or "baby carrier" is a device used to carry an infant or small child on the body of an adult. Such on-the-body carriers are designed in various forms such as baby slings, backpack carriers, and soft front or hip carriers, with varying materials and degrees of rigidity, decoration, support and confinement of the child. A "baby carriage" (in North American English), "pram" (in British English) or "carrycot" is generally used for newborn babies and have the infant lying down facing the pusher. A "stroller" (North American English) or "push chair" or "buggy" (British English) has the child (generally up to three years old) in a sitting position, usually facing forwards, instead of facing the pusher Sheesh!! P
  21. Why not support the local economy... Same can be said for fly fishing gear!! P

  23. Jer, I sent you a Pm P
  24. I have a 9' 5 wt CPX and REALLY like it. The only thing I don't like is the cork is super narrow. Great warrantee though, this rod replaced my original CPS when I broke a guide. I also have a 7'6" 3 wt Classic Trout as well. I think Redingtons are one of the best values out there IMO! P
