  1. Chris maybe you & Pisan can car pool on your way up to Edmonton for the grand opening!! P
  2. Yeah but... The aforementioned store is in EDMONTON!! P
  3. Closer to what I'm after...
  4. Mike (Tungsten) how much to build something like this (a little more ellaborate then what I would require )?! http://www.stoneycreekflytying.com/16_-_postions.htm P
  5. Ryan, Seriously!! Didn't think those came in 4 1/2' (double rod tube) lengths... I mean I also have 2 piece rods, 3 piece rods, 4 piece rods and 5 piece rods ranging from 21" all the way to 54" tube lengths... P
  6. Who cares! We live in Calgary and of course choose to support all the great site sponsor shops!! P
  7. Just curious... How does everyone store their rod tubes (other then crammed in the corner of their storage room)?! I was thinking of building a rack (picture a box with [modified] lattice on the top). Anyone have any other interesting (creative) ideas? P
  8. You could contact SilverDoctor, I know he has some (and uses on occasion) silk lines and may in fact know where to get a hold of some (or may let you try his). Or Dutchie as he deals in antique gear... P
  9. Yup you're right Marc! I just received our renewal statement and ours went up from ~$54 to ~$73 (~ 25%) and we haven't even decided on what to do with this particular claim.... Might be time to look else where to see if we can save a few $... P
  10. I hope the "boys" set a good example and actually wear PFDs both on and off the air!! P
  11. Thanks for all the responses... I've been getting pretty consistant info (which is good). The only thing that wasn't included in the estimate was "water & ice shield" and a "drip edge", which probably weren't on our roof originally, but I'd like them to be added tot he job (out of pocket, of course)... Thanks again, P
  12. As I mentioned, I've never dealt with a claim before (nor an insurance company)... I have also heard that insurance companies try to screw people so just wanted to get some info... Thanks for your input! P
  13. Nice one Craig! P
  14. Gang, This is the 1st time I've dealt with an insurance company for a claim like this... I finally received the estimate from my insurance company regarding the claim for hail damage on our roof... A couple of things... The insurance company/adjuster had "their" contractor (estimator) provide the estimate and when I inquired as to getting other estimates done, the response (from the adjuster) was, sure you can get other estimates, (or have the work done by somebody else) as long as they are lower then the estimate that our guy gave!! Huh!! 1st of all, isn't the contractor that they had provide the estimate, a bit of a conflict of interest?! What happens if I get a couple of other estimates (within the same specs) and they come in higher?! Can anyone provide some opinon/advice on what my options are... Thanks, in advance, Peter
  15. Unfortunately Druh is still ours!!
  16. The more interesting interview was he previous one with the arts supporters asking her questions... She was BRUTAL! Didn't know which camera to look at (wasn't being directed by anyone ) and didn't even answer their questions!! P
  17. The cork looks custom!!
  18. Is it worth sealing new concrete (*edit* specifically a concrete driveway)?! Opinions, experiences sought... Thanks in advance. P
  19. Yup! He's the one and only BBT! P
  20. Mike, Here is a link to a "Midcurrents" article http://www.midcurrent.com/flyfishing/singlehand_spey.aspx Also a few weeks ago The New Fly Fisher had an episode on Spey and switch rods/casting and he went through a very simple spey cast for a single hander, from what I recall... P
  21. Thanks Colin, but what channel is it?! P
  22. Very cool! Congrats! P
  23. LoL!! Yeah and for the fact that I am anything but a "Classic Rock" guy, nor a "Sports" guy (2nd most popular Sirrius station listened to on the trip was ESPN!)! LoL But being in the minority (and with the fear of being thrown out of said "industructible" vehicle and down those cliffs we drove past at 90km/h), I decided to take the high road and keep my mouth shut!! LoL P P.S Funny thing is Rick, that song from the 70's/80's that you predicted would be a hit and it didn't (Billy Thorpe's - "Children of the Sun" - How the hell did I just remember that?!)! I caught myself singing the chorus yesterday!! P.S.S. Colin (CDone), what the hell was that AWESOME Sirrius 80's alternative station we listened to on the way to and from Don's fish study trip near Caroline?! I need to tattoo it on myself so that when asked "if you have a station you want to listen to" I can actually come up with an answer!!
  24. Though I cannot specifically speak about the photo that is being considered, when traveling in some remote places in Thailand, "it" goes right into the river!! P
