LoL! You think that's cheap... Try getting stuff down in Mexico where you DON'T even need an Rx (not that I'm advocating illegally importing Rx meds from Mexico ) LoL! P -

School Zones In Calgary
ÜberFly replied to fish4trout's topic in Off The Water - Not Fishing Related
Also remember that public schools are out for Christmas vacation (last Friday) and Catholic schools are not (yet). http://newsroom.calgary.ca/pr/calgary/calg...page_rss=165905 As the new school year begins the streets will be busy again with children heading to classes and a new start time for school zones comes into effect. School zone hours have been adjusted to begin 30 minutes earlier than the previous 8 a.m. start time; they will now begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. “This change will help increase safety for children who attend schools with an early start time”, says The City’s Director of Roads, Ryan Jestin. “This will also provide additional safety for children who are involved in extracurricular activities prior to the school day.” The school zone change has been in effect since August 1, 2010. Although there are different start dates for the various schools, the earliest classes begin is August 5. The Calgary Police Service monitor and enforce speeds in school zones throughout the year. “Public safety is the number one priority for us and this change is an important step towards keeping our children safe. Motorists need to be aware of the dangers of speeding through school zones and must slow down”, says Constable Jim Lebedeff of the Calgary Police Service Traffic Section. Motorists are reminded to slow down when in school zones and to pay extra attention when driving through these areas. Watch for children walking and cycling to school and heed school safety patrols. Gang, I need a favor from someone driving from Sherwood Park to Calgary in the next little while (hasn't worked out with any of my Edmonton connections). A buddy has a double rod tube for me and I was wondering if there is someone that can bring it down from Sherwood Park? Let me know. Thanks, Peter

Got 2 a couple of years ago and went with Carrier units... The installer was reco'd by my cousin who was a plumber and is now retired. Installer (one man show) was a cranky old coot, but definitely knew his stuff. Even got $450 off/unit under a manufacture rebate (total cost was "around" $4500 per unit including install and metal work, etc. if i remember correctly). Went with mid efficiency units which is what was reco'd by the installer based on our specific needs, i.e., age of our house, sq. footage, the fact that we have a rental suite, etc. When the city inspector came around he did make a comment on the installer and mentioned that he was one of the good ones and had never had a problem with any of his installs! If there is anything else I can help you with as far as my exp., let me know but I'm sure there are guys on here that work in HVAC so they might be more knowledgeable with specifics... I personally wouldn't go with anything but a well known manufacture - Lennox (the most expensive), Carrier, York, etc. - but that is just MY opinion! Another thing is if there is a home show coming up in the near future... Most manufactures will have some form of representation so you can check things out under one roof... Peter

Carter, This is the one I invested in (Mustang). I primarily wear it in the winter when fishing off of ice shelves or during the summer fishing from a pontoon... Not necessarily "angling specific" but low profile ( I can wear it under a vest - when I wore a vest). It's expensive, but worth it in my opinion (I mean, how much is your life worth?!)... P P.S. Another benefit with this design is that you can get them in a variety of colors (including some neutral ones - mine is the black/grey. When inflated, however they are all bright yellow = highly visible). Also, be careful not to buy used or "on sale" (Craigslist, Kijiji, etc.) I noticed when I was 1st researching them, someone had a bunch of discontinued models for sale and when I googled that specific model, they had been recalled!!
