  1. Nick, that's a pretty ignorant comment - despite the fact that they are made in CANADA!!! <--poke--< Honda Ridgeline The 2008 Ridgeline is built solid to take punishment. The 5000-lb towing capacity and 1550-lb total payload capacity make small work of big jobs. Its strength comes from an integrated closed-box frame with unibody construction and powerful, 247 hp, V-6 engine. It's no wonder the Ridgeline has won countless awards, including Motor Trend Truck of the Year for 2006 and AJAC Truck of the Year and Best New Pickup for 2006. Ridgeline is manufactured in Alliston, Ontario. P

  5. Dustin, I use an 8 wt for my pike/bully rod with a Snowbee XSD Cartridge reel (comes with 5 cartridges so you can put on a variety of lines). Great drag at a great price!! If you want to take them for a chuck, lemme know... P

  7. 18 wheelers blowing by or passing on the highway exceeding the speed limit by A LOT (especially through the National Parks - actually anyone speeding in the National Parks chaps my hide!)! P
  8. Also remember that public schools are out for Christmas vacation (last Friday) and Catholic schools are not (yet). http://newsroom.calgary.ca/pr/calgary/calg...page_rss=165905 As the new school year begins the streets will be busy again with children heading to classes and a new start time for school zones comes into effect. School zone hours have been adjusted to begin 30 minutes earlier than the previous 8 a.m. start time; they will now begin at 7:30 a.m. and end at 5 p.m. “This change will help increase safety for children who attend schools with an early start time”, says The City’s Director of Roads, Ryan Jestin. “This will also provide additional safety for children who are involved in extracurricular activities prior to the school day.” The school zone change has been in effect since August 1, 2010. Although there are different start dates for the various schools, the earliest classes begin is August 5. The Calgary Police Service monitor and enforce speeds in school zones throughout the year. “Public safety is the number one priority for us and this change is an important step towards keeping our children safe. Motorists need to be aware of the dangers of speeding through school zones and must slow down”, says Constable Jim Lebedeff of the Calgary Police Service Traffic Section. Motorists are reminded to slow down when in school zones and to pay extra attention when driving through these areas. Watch for children walking and cycling to school and heed school safety patrols. 24. Got 2 a couple of years ago and went with Carrier units... The installer was reco'd by my cousin who was a plumber and is now retired. Installer (one man show) was a cranky old coot, but definitely knew his stuff. Even got $450 off/unit under a manufacture rebate (total cost was "around" $4500 per unit including install and metal work, etc. if i remember correctly). Went with mid efficiency units which is what was reco'd by the installer based on our specific needs, i.e., age of our house, sq. footage, the fact that we have a rental suite, etc. When the city inspector came around he did make a comment on the installer and mentioned that he was one of the good ones and had never had a problem with any of his installs! If there is anything else I can help you with as far as my exp., let me know but I'm sure there are guys on here that work in HVAC so they might be more knowledgeable with specifics... I personally wouldn't go with anything but a well known manufacture - Lennox (the most expensive), Carrier, York, etc. - but that is just MY opinion! Another thing is if there is a home show coming up in the near future... Most manufactures will have some form of representation so you can check things out under one roof... Peter
