  1. My wife and I hike into remote mtn lakes a lot during the summer. You are welcome to PM me and I'll provide you with some info on gear, etc. Not worth bringing waders, etc. as most fishing is done from the bank but depending on the outside temp you can definitely wet wade for brief periods of time. P
  2. Wow Rick!! Still pulling that photo out of the archives, eh!! P
  3. Beauty Rainbow! WOW!
  4. Yup that's in the works!
  5. No no! I was spinning it as an endorsement!!
  6. Wow!! And that's coming from a guy that has taken his share of slips/falls (I think I've counted at least 5 when I've fished with him!! LoL)!
  7. From strictly a "consumers" point of view (not considering the conservation/charitible side) $1000 isn't bad if you were going to drop ~$800 (retail) on Winston BIIIx, anyway!! I'm sure TU get's them at cost or has an arrangement so they can maximize their donation! $1500 is a whole different story... If I had an extra $1000 kicking around, I'd be all over this!!
  8. Sean, Yeah that has to be it!! But still doesn't explain why the base stn needs to be reset (randomly blinks yellow, and not steady green)?!
  9. Jay, in at least 2 winters (possibly 3, I can't remember) fishing with my 1st generation Korker Guides with the Boa system, I have NEVER had them freeze up on me!!
  10. Tracy, Yes I just unplug wait 10 sec and plug it back in. Dave, less the 6 months old!
  11. Both older macs, so I can only update so far (which also may be the issue - and indicative as to why the neighbors Linksys router works without issues). Going to be purchasing a new MacBook in the next couple of weeks...
  12. Yes it's all password protected and secured...
  13. That would certainily make sense Bob as I have no issues with my iPhone 4s running on wifi and that the computers work on the neighbors (I presume older) linksys router... P
  14. Darrin, As you can tell, nor do I!!
  15. So anyone able to help with this strange situation... I hope I can explain it well enough... Our computers keep randomly shutting down when connected to our wireless network (but not when hardwired). So thinking it was my (previous) router (tenant was also having issues and had to keep resetting the router - a Hawking), I bought a new router (Apple Airport Base Stn) in the fall, in hopes that it would solve the issue but the issue still persisted. So then thinking it was the computer, I had someone look at it (known logic board issue with this model - '06/07 Mac iBook) and there were no issues found- seemed to work fine for him... So last week for some reason it wasn't shutting down, which was strange as it usually shuts down pretty regularly, so I checked the signal and noticed it was connected to some random wifi signal from the neighborhood (not sure how that happened)... As soon as I connected back to ours, it would randomly shut down, again (so back to the random neighborhood wifi and it doesn't shut down). Also noticed that the Apple router will blink to yellow (normal is green) randomly as well, so need to reset it when this happens. So anyone have an idea what is happening and why? I was told it could be the Shaw modem?! Any thoughts or advice?! Thanks in advance. P
  16. Yes go see Gary at alpine shoe in Kensington (they don't work weekends anymore from my understanding - as he wants to retire). I think you might have to purchase the replacement soles from simms direct or from a dealer.
  17. Plumja, take a peak on Kijiji as I've seen some waders listed on there.
  18. Yeah you are right... I just tried to google it and it came up on a obscure site, but not the Winston site Seems it's a few years old). Apparently you get a Boron IIx?! It's seems it's a Sage One now - which is the current TU deal... https://gifts.tumembership.org/member/life?ms=MWL-WFO-WLIFE1031WL-H
  19. I just checked my files... It just says "your purchase of a Winston rod" and a "trial membership" worth $35?! So it may be any Winston rod and definitely not a lifetime membership!!
  20. Both my Boron IIIx's came with. I think it's only one year though. Call Chris at BowRivertroutfitters as they are the local Wintston Dealer.
  21. Taco, don't go there...
  22. You know what they say about former smokers!! It's worse with former Mods!! LoL
  23. Yes!! Totally sarcastic!! I know BBT personally, been fishing with him for a while now!! When he was a Mod, he was fair and just!! Just poking a little fun, his way!! P
  24. We know which category you fit into BBT!! (here's a hint - top of the heap) LoL
