  2. Drove by on Monday as I was in the area. Still gated (chained)!! Any updates Jay?!
  3. Yup! There are at least two members on here that are directly involved with cancer research (Myself and Dr. Bullet) and indirectly (fishinhogdaddy) and it's fundraiser initiatives such as this that actually fund the research, not tax payer dollars! So donate donate donate!!
  4. I've had great experiences with Tiretrends.ca!!
  5. You could always ask the flighties to put them up in their coat closet!! I've never had an issue with domestic flights and overhead storage with 4 piece rod tubes. Oh and in a past life I worked as a rampy at YYC with AC and handled both 4 piece tubes and multiple spey tubes!!
  6. You can take rods and reels as carry on. Security will confiscate your flies so pack them in your suitcase!
  7. Jay Weird that they would call your phone that is in your wife's name?! Did you ever give this number to anyone that you spoke with previously?! Did you call that guy at AB Parks?!
  8. iPhone (photosynth app)!!
  9. Thanks Jer! I can't take credit for that though!! Credit would go to DrBullet!
  10. Awesome fall colours (Looking up towards the Headwall) Arriving at the Lake Glass Looking back down the valley Easy Riding (3 hours up, about 1 down!!) Me Deb Deb and I I'm waiting for some fishing related photos to come...
  11. A colleague of mine booked a guided float for the section south of Canmore... The guide informed her that she does not require a fishing license as it's through reserve land and that's considered private?! Is this true?! I know places like the Blood Reserve require a specific license, but maybe her guide fee would cover this for the Stoney Nakoda?! Anyone know for sure?! I thought that anyone but first nations (and children younger then 16 and seniors) required a license reserve land or not?! P
  12. DrBullet (Nigel), Deb, Nigel's buddy John, and I had an EPIC day up at Loomis Lake yesterday! The weather was spectacular as was the fishing with many, many cutties between 14" and 17" caught (most on an Adams varient or another mayfly imitation)!! Here's a teaser... More to come!! P
  13. Yes!! I agree!! Both Darrin and Craig (FruininCalgary - the Manger at Honda West) were awesome with helping my father purchase a Civic that wasn't even on their lot!! Awesome customer service!! Above and beyond! P
  14. Would a kettle bell work or a decent inexpensive anchor for a pontoon?
  15. Lake or stream?! What is the skill level of everyone? There are some stocked ponds around that might be ok (presuming that the 9 y/o is relatively unskilled, but I could be wrong)... Grotto, Spruce Meadows (if there isn;t an event on) sibbald, the pond in Cochrane, etc. Upper K, maybe? There is always the bow (in and south of Calgary)!!
  16. Weird... Never had a problem with mine!! (Zipper that is, not my Johnson!!) P
  17. If you can afford them as they are REALLY expensive I say go for it!! Also they are REALLY warm but bomber and should last you for years!! On the othe hand, You could probably buy two sets of decent waders for the cost of the G4Z's... If I didnt get a deal on mine I would have went for the G3s or Patagonias. P
  18. Double post.
  19. Great photos!! Looks familiar!! P
  20. Nope!! Two totally different places!!
  21. Unbelievable!! Poor spelling and grammer and brutal fish handling!! :$*%&: :$*%&: $50 off for releasing fish!! No fish is going to survive a release with that much blood coming from it!! That's insulting and offensive!!
  22. That's what happens when you are young and fit, Rev!!! P
  23. If it's the Liv... There are many that think that guides should not be taking clients there during the summer!! P
