  1. Yeah I have found that the spongy part of the pad "for application of the line goo" doesn't last all that long...
  2. I have the textured and it's pretty much the same as the regular GPX but much louder - not sure if it's annoying to me yet or not... Only reason I bought it is I got a deal on it!
  3. Jason, If you cut the amount of elk/deer hair you need, pinch it between your fingers and then flick it a few times (like you are flicking a mosquito off your skin) that will dislodge all the under fur. Then you can put it in your stacker...
  4. Could easily do this yourself by winding the backing onto something like a piece of cardboard then wind it back up in the direction you need (may want to have someone add a little bit of tension while winding).
  5. Bear spray, bear bangers and a friend I can out run!!
  6. So I best explain the above post... Deb and I were at the Folkfest with Rick and his wife and decided to leave at the start of the Avett Bros set, and have never lived it down since!! And Rick reminds me every time he sees me! LoL
  7. Don't say it!! I know, I know!!
  8. Yes you dare! They are elusive! Only a few on here have acutally caught one!! A few more have seen them! They do exist!! Jury is still out on whether they eat the brains of those who do catch them...
  9. Plumeja, Are you looking at hiking to a mtn lake to "camp"? Or just day trips? There are some specific regulations/restrictions that you would have to consider if you are interested in "camping", depending on what experience you are looking for... P
  10. My wife and I hike into remote mtn lakes a lot during the summer. You are welcome to PM me and I'll provide you with some info on gear, etc. Not worth bringing waders, etc. as most fishing is done from the bank but depending on the outside temp you can definitely wet wade for brief periods of time. P
  11. Wow Rick!! Still pulling that photo out of the archives, eh!! P
  12. Beauty Rainbow! WOW!
  13. Yup that's in the works!
  14. From strictly a "consumers" point of view (not considering the conservation/charitible side) $1000 isn't bad if you were going to drop ~$800 (retail) on Winston BIIIx, anyway!! I'm sure TU get's them at cost or has an arrangement so they can maximize their donation! $1500 is a whole different story... If I had an extra $1000 kicking around, I'd be all over this!!
  15. Sean, Yeah that has to be it!! But still doesn't explain why the base stn needs to be reset (randomly blinks yellow, and not steady green)?!
  16. Jay, in at least 2 winters (possibly 3, I can't remember) fishing with my 1st generation Korker Guides with the Boa system, I have NEVER had them freeze up on me!!
  17. Tracy, Yes I just unplug wait 10 sec and plug it back in. Dave, less the 6 months old!
  18. Both older macs, so I can only update so far (which also may be the issue - and indicative as to why the neighbors Linksys router works without issues). Going to be purchasing a new MacBook in the next couple of weeks...
  19. Yes it's all password protected and secured...
  20. That would certainily make sense Bob as I have no issues with my iPhone 4s running on wifi and that the computers work on the neighbors (I presume older) linksys router... P
  21. Darrin, As you can tell, nor do I!!
  22. So anyone able to help with this strange situation... I hope I can explain it well enough... Our computers keep randomly shutting down when connected to our wireless network (but not when hardwired). So thinking it was my (previous) router (tenant was also having issues and had to keep resetting the router - a Hawking), I bought a new router (Apple Airport Base Stn) in the fall, in hopes that it would solve the issue but the issue still persisted. So then thinking it was the computer, I had someone look at it (known logic board issue with this model - '06/07 Mac iBook) and there were no issues found- seemed to work fine for him... So last week for some reason it wasn't shutting down, which was strange as it usually shuts down pretty regularly, so I checked the signal and noticed it was connected to some random wifi signal from the neighborhood (not sure how that happened)... As soon as I connected back to ours, it would randomly shut down, again (so back to the random neighborhood wifi and it doesn't shut down). Also noticed that the Apple router will blink to yellow (normal is green) randomly as well, so need to reset it when this happens. So anyone have an idea what is happening and why? I was told it could be the Shaw modem?! Any thoughts or advice?! Thanks in advance. P
  23. Plumja, take a peak on Kijiji as I've seen some waders listed on there.
