Yeah there was a post on here a while ago regarding that... Not sure if it was pulled b/c of sponsorship issues, etc. Though no sponsored shops (or any fishing related shop) rents pontoons... There is a place that rents pontoons but that's all I got! Sorry! Hopefully someone will chime in that knows or PMs you directly... P

Yeah I don't think so!! That would be elitest! LoL Maybe to benefit all "anglers" but not "just" fly anglers!! The Elk is NOT fly fish only! -

Hmmm... Every time I've jetted/floated with Tungsten, he slows down for Drift boats, pontoons, even wading anglers... Never hear him complain that he has to slow down - he does it out of courtesy!! He should teach classes!! Talk about disrespectful jet boaters!! The Cochrane section is INSANE! P -

This past week Deb and I flew into Sorcerer Lodge for a week of ski touring (we "earned our turns")... Here are a few photos that may or may not do this trip and area justice... Enjoy! The only way in or out Our home for the week Our playground for the week Skier's heaven What to choose, where to go? Looking down off the Moraine Deb skiing down the Moraine What goes down must go up (I swear we each lost 20 lbs)... and up... (climbing up to The Perfect Glacier) and up... (boot packing up to the Nordic Glacier - you can see the lateral Moraine I've referred to in the background)) Deb and I boot packing and up... and up... (I want to give you an idea of how big this area is - White Russian Col in the background) and up... ( up to the White Russian Col) and down (what dreams are made of - lots of these types of photos) You'll notice that we stay left of the furthest right (guides) track - crevasses to the right of her track! Staying safe with snow analysis every day! Kellie, the guide is in the middle - I've known her for almost 20 years! Digging snow pits is a group effort Clear night doesn't necessarily mean clear morning! Still waiting to receive some of the photos of me from the other members of the group (sucks when you are the one with the camera! LoL) Peter

Should still work... You more or less want to seal it up so it doesn't fray or flake. -
Line And Backing Set For Left Hand Ret?

Hells!! Take it into Wapati... They should do it for you if they have any sort of customer service... I'm 99% sure any of the sponsor fly shops ( with maybe the exception of one - I don't shop there so I don't know. Even "most" of the non sponsor shops would) would do it for you in Calgary, so you'd expect that they would, as well?! -

That's the only thing you can do, but I'd take it back to them and have them do it!! -
Mike, What a great "teachable moment"! You have an opportunity to teach the kids in your (their) club all about "impact" while at the same time give them a great (and memorable) experience! All in all it's about "balance"! Hopefully the message(s) will stick for the future of the resource! Have fun! Let me now if you need any help (I'd volunteer - with security clearances, etc. of course)! P

Advice Needed To Repair Oar

Hey Paul, I have a bunch of 2 part epoxy resin that I purchased to repair a canoe. I won't be able to use it all in my life time so you are welcome to it just return the unused amount. Peter -
I know my wife had a heck of a time trying to find some and used a small mens set for the 1st season. We were able to find some Patagonia women's specific waders as they were discontinuing them. They are a great wader and you should still be able to find some online somewhere at a very good price (Ebay/Sierra Tarding Post or BRTFs may even have some still in stock). Either way, if she wants to try on Deb's just to get an idea of fit she is more then welcome (though Deb is a little taller - I think Deb got Medium with 8/9 feet - there have been issues with the foot sizing with the Pati's)... But as you mentioned, buying online has it's disadvantages so Jay's suggestion of the Redington's @ FTs is a good one... Peter

Very cool Ryan! I remember when I took "Stars for Studs" (Astronomy) during my 1st undergrad and took photos of the sun (with a mylar lens). It was super cool - you could make out sun spots! We also figured out how old the universe was (The formula that is used is amzingly long - you had to measure the change in the distance a particular star had moved over a period of time [photo taken at two different times - I can't recall exactly but something like 100 years apart]). If I recall correctly the universe is something like 14 billion years old!! P

Panasonic Lumix Dcm-ts3 Question
ÜberFly replied to ÜberFly's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
Hey Jeff , Someone else just inquired as well. So far so good. I haven't used it underwater or in low light. Photo quality has been good and other then the issues uploading video to a mac (as you read) I've been happy with it. I've also read good things about he new Nikon WP as well. I've had a few issues with my finger on the lens and in the photos b/c there is no lens cap and where the lens is situated (upper left as opposed to in the middle like my last camera. I like the fact that I can turn off the gps. Other then that I'm quite happy with it. P -

Mike, But I am half serious!! The only "leader" (politician) I have respect for is Sherman, and I'd vote for him (alone) if I could but our current system doesn't allow that. And I wish we had proportional representaion (which the Evergreens propose but they are never getting in) And I hate everyone else!! And if I don't vote, I can't bitch!! So I guess I'm going to split the vote (protest vote)!!

Panasonic Lumix Dcm-ts3 Question
ÜberFly replied to ÜberFly's topic in General Chat - Not Fishing Related (NFR)
Yup not mac compatible (at least for my version of the camera [purchased late 2011] might be different with the latest version)... I've sent out an e-mail to Panasonic to see what they have to say... Probably have to use this though: http://www.hdconverterformac.com/mac-avchd...-converter.html Cheers, P
