  1. Why don't you keep that Ezra shitshow crap over on peckerwood paradise otherwise known as albertaoutdoorsmen???
  2. Warranty service delays could have something to do with the fact that that one rod company sells a least 3 times the fly rods that the other one does. That said, I 've liked every Winston I've ever cast, afraid I can't say the same for Sage
  3. The G3s aren't as bulletproof and aren't going to last as long as my old style Freestones but pretty much equal in comfort and the Freestone's had a smidge better ankle support IMO. I got roughly 5000 hrs plus of hiking and wading out of the Freestones and I'll be lucky to get half that out of the G3s.
  4. I didn't say I liked BBT.....just his cake...sheesh, gotta 'splain everythang!
  5. Like this??
  6. Jesus, Chris is aging well, bugger doesn't look a day over 56 and yet he claims to be 101. And Rick.. you must be still in sales? You still can embellish with the best of them. Happy burfday BBT, don't eat all the cake.
  7. No need for one, just wade wet and gauge water temp by the reaction of your junk. Wee willie and "where'd my balls go?", stream is plenty cold enough. A testicle hangin' down each pant leg, better quit fishin'. How she fishing up there?
  8. Buy your bear spray in the US, American version is double the strength than is allowed by law in Canada
  9. Funny thing, this spring almost all the bigger trout I caught, dozen or so, were in popular put and take fisheries. None were old brooders, 2 to 3 lb brookies and 4 to 5 lb rainbows
  10. Too bad your lost nets don't show up the same way, huh Hoss? I've heard you lose your balance a bunch as well, Steve has taken to callin' you Kersploosh.
  11. I've got a new 8'6" Kenney e-glass 6wt that will lay out 70'- 80' of line with 2 false casts and I just this morning ordered a Steffen Brothers 8'6" 5/6wt s-glass blank. S-glass is lighter in weight and quicker than e-glass. My graphite rods are slowly working their way to the back of the storage pile
  12. Fiberglass if you're lookin' for a slow to medium rod, not fussy care wise nor as expensive as cane and a helluva a lot more durable then graphite. Check out the Fiberglass Flyrodders forum and the fiberglass manifesto blogspot
  13. Nope I ain't ride in the truck with them two, no need to farther aggravate my tinnitus
  14. I stand here humbled, 24 inches of fish to one 6" fish..... mind you his came in 6" increments as well. Cutties and their "Oh Look! A Bug!"
  15. I kinda like that flower trick but the 2 dozen flower pics he'll post eventually maybe kinda irksome. Thanks for the tips
  16. Is there anything I should watch out for???
  17. West central Saskatchewan. This happened in 250 metres at Saskatchewan hiway speeds.

  18. I need to double like your post. Maybe now there is a chance some balance can now return to Alberta's fisheries.
  19. To quote Lorne: OOOoooo! Shiny!
  20. Don't they have pills for that?
  21. If the $ aren't a big consideration, a good metal shop should be able to replicate and strengthen the original design. You may end with a $600 frame though.
  22. Then you have to decide framed or frameless. I went frameless Outcast.. Only had it out a few times but I like it so far. Very similar to my Super FatCat but with 5' oars. I ain't worried about goin' a half mile downwind anymore. Only time will tell if there is any issues/problems with the welded on oarlocks.
  23. They gonna move their cattleguard camp from my favourite spot on the Liv now?? j/jk.........partially
