i feel your pain... i went from -4 when i left early april, to 17 in brazil, to 30+ crossing the atlantic to 9 in most of central europe and +2 this morning when i went to work. i froze my butt off friday night sleeping at police lake, but could have been because i fell asleep by the fire after a bottle of wine at 1 am and didnt get fully in to my sleeping bag when i was told to go to bed... or it could be the global warming...

all i know is a friend of mine goes there most weekends and for this weekend she is going up after work on wednesday so she can get a spot close to the water for fishing. i have heard a few stories of blood indian getting busy. but i havent fished or camped there yet...

yeah, i was also admiring that set up... i even managed 1 more this afternoon from the dock. is it a little over kill to catch a 10inch fish on a 15 ft 10wt spey??? i didnt even know he was there, poor thing. LOL. he almost ended up going for a ride. at least i know that weeds do not give head shakes... thanks again Al. i am now convinced that Clive is a legend, a myth, the stuff of folklore and tall tails. once again i head south in hopes of meeting the infamous Clive, with offerings of Cuban Cigars... and nope, no Clive. i live near country hills. honestly i think the closest would be ghost resiviour outside of cochrane to the west off of hwy 1A. there might be one in airdrie but i'm sure. if you like pike you can try chestermere to the east. i have fished arbour lake. it is small but the fish are fun. everyone has a differnt opinion about eating the fish. personally i dont but thats just me

i will be heading down after work on friday so i should be there by about 8pm. i'm driving the blue chev blazer if anyone happens to see a semi-lost girl driving around looking for a lake, please flag me down, i will have booze and looking for a place to crash. i guess i will head towards campsite 26 and hope i'm in the right place. see ya'll

welcome steve, be glad to welcome you to the hook and hackle club. if you decide to join up, there is a fish out in june. i wont be around for april but any of the meetings are open to guests at any time. there was an open house in february, but there is some info under the special events section and gives some general info about the club if you are curious. google hook and hackle club calgary and it should give you the link. still talking about this eh? i dont have a problem disclosing spots, not much within the city limits is a secert, any pics posted show, yep - water, a fish, guy with a stupid smile, probably a boot or a net, a hand and probably a rock or a tree. big water out there, even on the little streams, unless you have been there, 99% of the fishers out there have no idea where "the spot" is. and i doubt someone is going to waste the time, printing off a pic and wandering up and down the river looking for "the spot", what a waste of time, especially when you could be fishing the last 10 pools you passed up. sure we may all have a favorite spot, and every so often, we might find rick there, but hey, be nice, he's a good guy. go and find another spot. or if you are feeling testie, toss a jar of eggs. the jerk in YOUR spot will leave.
