  1. as long as you promise to stop and change my tires
  2. there has been a few but this is the only one i could remember http://flyfishcalgary.com/board/index.php?...t=0&start=0
  3. if by emergency she means 911 calls only, no plan required. by some legislation somewhere all phones must be able to call 911 whether on a network and activated or not.. if she means emergency as in 'honey i need a loaf of bread and quart of milk can you stop at the store on your way home', i had telus on a pay as you go plan for 10cents a minute for a number of years but my calling and text msg out grew that so i switched to a plan. i paid something like $50 and had a 50$ credit applied to the phone but that was 5 years ago. but at least you get the full telus service and coverage
  4. brian... you'd fish chocolate milk if it had fish in it
  5. castle/carbondale area south of crowsnest has specified atv areas and some of the trails do run along the river. the COs do heavily enforce the atv rules so make sure your insurance and registration is up to date and dont drive on the main roads. lots of random camping and provincial camp grounds to chose from.
  6. here's another site for you to try. http://ukflytying.proboards100.com/index.cgi? a few of them over the pond post in the fly tying bench as well. i'm sure there are a few patterns of boobies around. anyway, they are a great group of people and can give you lots of info on fishing boobies and blobs.
  7. Clive, if you happen to talk to TG, mention i'm looking for him. i never did get his number when he showed up to the hook and hackle meeting. i was also supposed to take him out for pike looks like fun was had by all.
  8. strangely i have n problem bonking ocean or delta fish but i cant wack a rainbow in lake... how odd is that. i guess growing up on the coast, you learn, catch a fish. bonk it for dinner. i remember the days when there was no shortage of salmon or sole to catch, crab and clams were abundant. thanks for the report rick, sounds like a great time
  9. i've done the blonde thing, it didnt really suit me very well. but it was fun. thanks rick... nice to know you noticed
  10. opec announced the additional production of 500m barrels a day in hopes to bring the price of fuel down. nice to know the oil is there and they are just sitting on it... we still lack in refineries in north america.
  11. can i have a pair???? or do i have to do it myself. better chance at getting help to change a tire
  12. I couldn't agree more.
  13. i'd have to say that gas prices are definately bothering me. $1.33 per liter is 5.02 per gallon costs me about 70CAD to fill, and since the canadian and us dollar about the same, well you get the point. last year i was looking at arounf $45 to fill the tank. strangely my wages have not increased nor do i expect them to any time soon with the hiring freeze. i'm tired of living to go to work so i can afford to go to work. i'm going camping this weekend and the gas alone is going to cost 70 never mind eating. seems kind of silly fo 2 days and then i have to get another tank just so i can get to work on monday. that sucks @$$ anyone with 50K want to start a commune??? if we can get 15 people together...
  14. a feel good solution keep the rap number with you, get a much details about the bait chucker as possible, good description of gear, clothing, the person ht, wt, age, race, colouring etc... vehicle - plate #, type of water craft, time, place, access point. the more info the better. they will go find these guys if you can give details and since we all like money>>> i a ticket is given by F&W - the reporter gets a % of the ticket value. no i cant remember the amount but as per one of the COs, if there is one violation, ther are many. the reports that get looked at first are the ones with the most detail. also the spinners get looked at before fly fishers... and that is from the CO for priorty on investigations. it isnt first come first served. i would have to re-read the regs but i do believe there is a bait ban in most of the rivers except for maggots at certain times of the year. i dont use bait at all so i have never bothered to read that part of the regs and remember it. there are a number of waters that do not have bait bans, someone has to sell the bait somewhere. i agree we cant blame the store but the only way we are going to make a difference with conservation is giving a crap and calling in these asshats
  15. from everything i'vee heard the rivers in S.A. suck rocks and other than the bow, really arent worth bothering. a few more weeks. i hope. i think i said that last year. i will give it a go on july 1st
