  1. Shee-it, Roach! That's a lot of goodness, right there! I think you can be forgiven for not posting often when you give up the goods like that. Hell, that brookie pic is worth a thousand lesser shots!
  2. I think you're on the wrong forum, Jeremy; try to keep this fishing related!!! Nice fish(again), Gary; love the brown shot!
  3. Pretty sure that having no witness at all is one step up from having a Texan telling the story... Just sayin'...
  4. Very nice! How do you keep your dry flies floating with those big split shots on yer line???

    Rainbows

Sweet 'bows, Steven! Now, get out more often, post more pics! Please & thank you...
  6. Did he take a really long time to land it? 'Cuz it may have been alive when he hooked it...
  7. Who's OK? BBT? Why, sure he is!
  8. Great pics, Gary! Ya gotta love being able to see that stuff without even leaving the city.
  9. Thanks, Brian. It was a pretty good day, by my admittedly low standards. I also got this little brown with a big appetite... ...then, this 21" brown. Hooked another heavy fish on the next cast; it peeled off into the middle of the river, then came undone. Finished with this 23" brown... One more look at the 24"er... It was a good day!
  10. I don't know if this is the brown I hooked last week, but he was in the same spot. 24 inches of goodness... In the first pic, it kinda looks like the trout is laid on the ice. It's actually the edge of an ice shelf that's partially submerged. You can see the water in this pic... Figured I'd better add that before that dang BBT starts yankin' pics & reminding me of the rules...
  11. x2 Good stuff, Tex! Great link, Lornce; that right there is some craaaazyyy shite!
  12. 40 to 60 doesn't even register on the wind scale down there. The scale starts at 65km/h; any less than that is considered 'eerily calm". 65 to 80 is a 'slight breeze'.
  13. Things must be slow in the "import/export" world, Mr. Vandelay; glad to see you've expanded into photography. No particular theme??? That, sir, is incorrect. The theme is: Superb Photos!!! (BTW, who are you 'barmping' at, b'y? Is dere a moose in da road, me son?)
  14. Very cool; beautiful animals!
  15. Rickr nymphs a run... I stuck a big ole kype-jawed brown that jumped at least half a dozen times before coming unbuttoned. Rick hooked a good brown & brought this nice 22"er to hand... Thanks for playing! The action slowed down & Rick had to head out; I decided to hit another spot on my way home... The worm was still working... I wonder who tried to make a meal outta this guy??? Sure had a fun day! Thanks for the invite, Tex. Until next time...
  16. Got out with Rickr for a few hours yesterday. Some images from the day... First fish of the day didn't take long; I got this feisty rainbow... Didn't take long for Rickr to get in on the fun... Then, I landed this chunky female... Then, this beauty came out to play... Worm-eater... Tex nets another 'bow... Another scrappy 'bow... I got a few on this nymph...
  17. Very nice! Well done; enjoyed that quite a bit!
  18. Maybe they tasted that swill & the taste made 'em throw it on the ground in disgust??? Too bad McD's doesn't do 'roll up the rim'; much better cuppa joe!
  19. Ice was maybe 16"??? Yes, southern Alberta...
  20. Thanks, fellas. @SJW: no & no
  21. Did some icefishing with my brothers yesterday. Beautiful day, caught some pike & some beautiful walleye.
  22. My brother handcrafted this crib board from maple. I added the woodburning & stained/varnished it. I'll be losing many games to my brothers for years to come on this baby! One end, before stain/varnish... The other end... Top view; thanks, G. Loomis for the use of your logo. I gave it one more coat after this, so the final product is a tad darker... Another angle... Opened up... Turned out OK, I think???
  23. Whaaaatt??? You hold up a train for Orvis stuff??? You, sir, are a rogue!
  24. How is it that I didn't see this report 'til right now??? Eyesight must be failing in my old age, I reckon. Good on ya for gettin' after it & catching some bones; bet it was a blast! I think I spotted the problem with your casting: you're using the wrong hand, man!
