  1. I have issues with throat sampling as well. Maybe fish over 17" are better candidates as the throat diameter is even larger to accommodate the tube. Lots of opportunity to injure fish here for sure.
  2. Cool shot TP Here's an action shot

    Dry Only?

Wet flies for Cutts Jack? I'm glad Tim was there to show you the light.
  4. Sorry Wes...just a rod choice. I like my brain cells too much to play with hemp.
  5. Wind warrior and a sarong...should make for a great picture.
  6. Great Bulls TP. Here's a washed out lake brown
  7. Spectacular fish Terry. He must have showed up as a HUGE marker on your sounder. That right there is the reason folks travel across the continental divide. Baynes fish???
  8. You need a few of those black/white guys put into Beaver I guess....
  9. Good fatty Jeff. Hopefully we will see fish like that again some day in Golden Pond. Here's another anorexic fish
  10. Hope you had a great day and got some new fishing toys to try out
  11. Post-spawn in July they look a little rough After a long winter
  12. What did you catch it on Rick? I've caught some on the worm before.
  13. Nice Brookie Dustin. I think I could fit my head in his mouth. What province is that from?
  14. Nice Burb Steve...way better than all these ugly salmonids
  15. Rick you could make Jared put his huge perch trophy up for grabs for the Wed night fish war. I'll bring the "beeping" dog to swim around in his pool to ensure your victory.
  16. Montana foreign legion
  17. Great to meet you Jack. Nice to see someone with so much "fish wisdom" directing suggestions for product development. The Wind warrior looks to be a fine tool. Cheers, Rob
  18. Terry I recognize that spot...I'll be there May 1
  19. leech>chironomid>scud
  20. I was going to be correct...but when I caught them they were still squaw fish. If I ever get back there I will report their new improved name. I like your new picture....just missing a flower. You are becoming a true artiste. Just catching fish is so boring now...we need to do it with style.
  21. Looks like fun. There is some big carp in the lagoons downstream of Vaseaux lake as well. I had a fun time catching squaw fish on dries in the river there one day. Lots of big carp in the Bighorn in Montana as well.
  22. Looks like a beautiful place. Screaming reels are a great thing. Thanks for the photos.
  23. Jack, he needs lots of equipment for the times that fish spit the hook and he goes irate...breaking/cussing everything in sight. It isn't pretty...but entertaining. Rick, you will have to bring some of your new gear across the highway and test it out on our pet pigs in the spring. Maybe Jared will put his trophy on the line for the biggest trout... Cheers, Rob
  24. Sounds about right Don. As heavy leader as you can get away with and lay the boots to the fish...then let them go for another day before they are exhausted. I haven't found a lake where I need go under 10lb fluorocarbon yet for sub-surface fishing.
  25. I hear it's helpful to use 4lb test leaders and fight the fish for 15 minutes with no use of a drag or palming the reel (look at the backing...) as well.
