  1. Yeah, the guy that quoted us the other day said the same thing. He's looking into it. If it is on City Property, who do I call at the City to have them take it down? Will it cost me anything?
  2. In the SW. Fishtales and Country Pleasures are both within 10 minutes of me. Dangerous to be certain.....
  3. Thanks guys! Looks like I have a couple calls to make.
  4. Anyone know of a good arborist in town? We have a couple of trees we need removed and are looking for someone decently priced. Thanks!
  5. Great pics Steve-o!
  6. Congrats! Hooked for life now!
  7. I'd love to show up. Sadly, being in retail, I work on Saturday.......
  8. Walker, I had back surgery to repair a herniated disc about ten years ago. The issues didn't clear up immediately, it did take time. That and some Vioxx (no longer available) helped too. I found that the swelling from the surgery was still aggravating my sciatic nerve which was still causing me leg pain. I still have back issues to this day, but I think the beer belly MIGHT have something to do with that. What sort of issues are you still having?
  9. Awesome story and an awesome fish! My only steelhead story is that I have gone out once for them, and got skunked. Can't wait for the next trip.
  10. wicked news! I remember when I first started, how stoked I was to finally have all the basics together so I could go fishin! Its a great feelng to hook into your first. Good Luck!
  11. Its insanely tight! I guess we should have figured that would happen in a 48 game schedule, but seriously, there is only 10 points separating 4th and 13th!
  12. Done. I was wondering when someone was going to bring these threads back from the dead. I figured with the lockout there were too many pissed off fans to bother trying to talk hockey with. Either way, I'm with you Smitty, Smid was a great signing. For a European player, he sure does play a great North American game! Four in a row now boys! Let's see if we can repeat the job on Wednesday, even though the Flames are a much different team at home, then off to Vancouver to make it six!
  13. That is exactly what I have. I put it on my suspenders on the back and have a caribeener through the hole that is also attached to a magnet net keeper with a bungy cord on it. Works like a charm!
  14. Sounds crappy. Hope you feel better soon Tex. Must suck that you can't fish either.
  15. Technically a Sponsor still, just a really, really big one
  16. Yes Peter, and if I wanted yours, I'd give it to you
  17. Fly Fusion is a site sponsor and, in my opinion, a great magazine. Others are; The Drake, Fly Fisher, Fly Tier and Many, many others.
  18. Anytime. You will find this site is full of great info and great people.
  19. Welcome jfid!
  20. jfid, rods are really a personal thing. What one rod feels to one guy, will feel vastly different to another. If you like how it feels, then go for it. As you get out more often and get into some fish, you'll start to know what you do and don't like about rods. Remember, you are just starting out and a 6wt 9'0" rod is a great starter rod for the majority of the fishing you'll be doing on the bow. You'll have plenty of time to get addicted and fill your closet with several rods of different lengths, weights, and actions. Oh, and nice meeting you yesterday, neighbour.....
  21. Actually, the fish that I can recall taking one of my offerings the deepest, back of the throat deep, was on a dry fly. I would surmise that about 90% of my fishing is "dead drifted under an indicator" and have never had to struggle getting the fly out the way I did with that brown on the dry.
  22. I will still continue to debarb my hooks. Regardless of what the regulations say.
