  1. Always socks. Toe nails will also cut the neoprene.
  2. Kinda cool. More interested about Jimmy than Julia, but kinda cool none the less. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vh169u_UyAE
  3. Was out at the Oldman Sunday. It's running dirty. Cleaner than the Livingston, but dirty. Far from what I would call gin clear.
  4. I have the korkers river sheds and find that I change the soles quite frequently. I have studded felts for the bow, big lug studded for the winter and rubber for hiking in the mountains. Awesome and convenient. In my opinion. Had them going on three seasons now. Showing wear, like any would, but holding up fine.
  5. That's why I stick with lace ups. I have the Korkers Redside as they were the only boots that had the interchangeable soles with laces. My next pair of boots are gonna be the KGB's. They go higher on the ankle for better support and are still a lace up.
  6. It's a pretty awesome drive. I could have done without the flat tire drama we had last year, but I am looking forward to the trip again this year!
  7. Loop to loop for line to leader. Barrel swivel at the end of the leader, then about 8" of 2x to the first fly, then 18"-24" of 3x to the next fly, and if I am doing a triple set up, then another 18" - 24" to the bottom fly. I've been typically doing two fly set ups as of late. Nothing but clinch knots or improved clinch knots for fly connections.
  8. What a touching story. Thanks for posting this.
  9. Beauty of a brown! You caught him too early though, he needs more meat on his bones! Hell of a fish Gil.
  10. Spectacular!
  11. Awesome! Love that shot of the brownie!
  12. Looks like a thin slice of heaven there Doc. Thanks for sharing.
  13. Nice lookin rig!!
  14. All I have to say is Congratulations. Having a newborn in your life will change it in more ways than just fishing time.
  15. I third the Brodin Ghost. I also have the Gallatin model and absolutely love it.
  16. Hot damn!!
  17. Busted collar bones suck. I had the same thing happen to me several years ago, when I flipped over the bars on my bike doing some trail riding when I still lived in Edmonton. Had to ride out with one hand, even fell over on my way out. That hurt. A lot. Sucks that you can't use your arm for anything. Quite literally. Cool thing was I was working at a bike shop at the time, so it was cool to tell customers my epic mountain bike accident that busted the collar bone. I hope it heals soon. Should be good to go by the time run off is over.
  18. I just wish that I could have been there. Stupid working Saturdays..
  19. So do you guys just leave your thingamabobber on your line/reel? Or do you just tie on a new "stopper" every time you fish? Just seems like a lot of work just to make the bobber more adjustable....
  20. mmmmmm......cake http://thechive.com/2013/05/03/its-been-a-long-week-have-some-cake-38-photos/
  21. Well, it's a Poplar that is easily over 30 years old ad half dead. The root system is severely invasive and I have had to cut down seepers in the neighbours yard as far as the opposite side of their yard from us, and even one that was over 7ft tall in their back yard. I'm just afraid of it destroying our foundation. I have heard of that happening on more than one occasion.
  22. Some may not find the humor in this, but I found it hilarious..... http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=g84nQY5kAYo
